"Draws" (Killing each other) in Crysis 3

Post » Tue Nov 06, 2012 12:53 am

I saw some footage of the C3 alpha and noticed that two players killed each other at the exact same time with rifles. As far as I know, this wasn't possible to do in Crysis 2. I don't remember ever killing an enemy at the same moment they killed me. It always seemed like any bullets that had been fired from a player's gun that were still traveling were nullified the instant the player died. The only way you could draw like this in Crysis 2 was from an explosive.

But now it appears that two players can kill each other at the same time. I don't know if this is a bug, or if this feature was purposely implemented. I think I like the idea of drawing with an enemy. This happens a lot in Halo, and I always feel that a draw is better than a mere death. And there have been many firefights in Crysis 2 that made me say "WHAT?! He should've died there, that's ridiculous!"

What do you guys think about drawing in Crysis 3? Should it be in, or should one player always arise the victor, if even by a millisecond?

(P.S. I'm posting this here and not in the alpha forum because I don't have access to it, nor the alpha itself. Even if I did have the alpha key, my computer would first implode, and then explode upon trying to run Crysis 3, so I won't even bother.)

No the bullets weren't nullified, the reason it wasn't possible as far as I know if because the bullets didn't have travel time except for the KVOLT, but I had some weird episodes of killing someone with a rifle at close range and afterwards dying with no explanation in C2

It's probably a bug with the changes made to the new net code

PS: Please don't continue the discussion here, if you don't have access to the alpha forums contact a mod.
