Dovahkiin more powerful than a Daedra?

I read somewhere in the lore forums, that the dragons are more powerful than the daedra. Alduin ate Mehrunes Dagon for example. The Dovahkiin is a dragon soul within a human or elven body. Does that mean the Dovahkiin is more powerful than a Daedra? That could also explain the lack of daedra in Skyrim. They are afraid of the dragons? (I know Marty sealed the gates to Oblivion.)

Also are all dragons descended from Akatosh?

I know Alduin split from Akatosh, but did Paarthunax and the others split form him also?

If these questions sound stupid. Forgive me I haven't beaten the MQ yet. But I don't care if it's spoiled for me.

Pitting Alduin against almost anything (With the exception of his defeat in this Kalpa) never ends well. He just sort of munches on...everything. The thing you have to remember with the Daedra is the fact that the moment they set foot onto Nirn, they're not quite as infallible as they think they are. They can be overturned, outwitted, and out maneuvered just like everything else, though it normally takes extraordinary individuals to complete such an endeavor. You just can't kill em.

Now, are dragons more powerful then the princes? Doubtful. The Princes obviously have things dragons would find desirable. The ones in the Soul Cairn and Apocrypha should be evidence enough.

Thank you, I forgot about the one in the Soul Cairn. About the Daedric Princes not being as strong on Nirn than in their planes. Guess that's why the player couldn't use his Sheogorath powers in Oblivion, when you left the Isles.

Pretty simple, Alduin starts by consuming the Nords every kalpa, moves on the the rest of Tamriel, and by the times he's eating the Daedra has already consumed enough souls to basically become invincible by any standard. Read the Aldudaggas for an idea of what the Alduin looks like by the time he's about done with Mundus... "Ho ha ho."

That's why he retreats to Sovngarde after you fight him: he gains strength the more souls he consumes.
