All audio problems due to underused CPU

Post » Sat Mar 06, 2010 7:56 am

Hey. I have been having the common problem where most voices/sound effects are delayed or non-existent. I ctr+alt+deleted and in processes set the game to high priority and EVERYTHING IS FIXED!!!!!!! People have been reporting that they've found that FONV has only been using 30% of their CPU or only one processor in their multi processor pc's. This is the cause! This simple fix has made the game playable for me. Devs please do a hot fix for this. A large fraction of complainers would disappear if you did.

Thx,

If true, this would explain a lot...I wonder how it affects single-core users though. Need more people to try this.

wonder no more, for I have a single core pc. I have seen other people though reporting that FONV was only using one of their cores.
Seriously though, this is huge. I'm not an expert, but it seems like the devs could pump out a hotfix changing the game's CPU priority in a sec.
