A small rp idea

I was playing a little while ago and had a small idea, usually we will rp as adventurers to some extent, I was thinking about the lesser known people, the farmers, guards, priest, merchants, among others.
Would it be possible to rp them out?

Guards would probably be fun, chose a city/road/town and patrol it, with the occasional request from the count. Or perhaps the guard is corrupt and extorts money from shops.

Farmer might prove a tad difficult, though plants do respawn every three days I think. Still trying to think of more possible things to do with a farmer.

The one that I really want to do is the merchant, but being on a Ps3 means that I lack mods...
Hmmm, perhaps a traveling one? Must think of this one more. :P.

Oh right, a street rat would be fun, I think it was Renee that had a character use the sewers to sneak into shops?

Decrepit does something like this. His character patrols the roads of Cyrodiil and collects taxes. Hopefully he will come along to talk more about it. I've always thought it was a fascinating idea.

I am firmly of the opinion that mods are not necesary to roleplay. I believe that anyone who thinks they need mods to roleplay does not understand roleplaying very well. All you need is imagination.

I think they're very plausible ideas. Farmers would be hard, as most farms don't have much produce, but you could probably do so. Perhaps pick graqes for Tamika or the Surilie brothers? A priest would work very well - perhaps you could maintain the Wayshrines in the wilderness, and arrange flowers at them as well as the various chapels? A travelling Alchemist has always been a favourite idea of mine - walking the roads, picking flowers, resting at an inn for some food, drink, a bed and a place to make potions, and then sell those potions when you arrive in a city.

You could also try a roleplay linked to a guild. For example, roleplay a Journeyman of the Mages Guild who lives and works in the Bruma guildhall. Or perhaps try working towards a goal - assassinating the Count of Bravil, for example, who's the only non-essential Count. You could start by killing his bodyguard, the captain of his guard, the Court Mage, even his son! Stalk the targets, find out their daily movements and kill them where no-one will notice.

Decrepit uses a mod to receive the patrols, but it's entirely possible to do so without mods. I'd report to the Watch Captain in the IC Prison District, undertake a patrol - say from the Imperial City to Bruma - and report to the Captain of the Guard in your destination.
