All saves crash. New games run perfectly.

All saves crash the game on load. The game loads fine. Crashes when save is selected. Old saves, new saves, every one.
  • Recent problem. Don't know exactly when it happened. Load order hasn't changed recently.
  • New games start fine, run fine, as long as I want to play.
  • Not using quick saves or auto saves at all.
Could it be Pluggy? Just a shot in the dark.

Any ideas, anyone? Has anyone else experienced this?

My guess would be that you added a mod with a bad piece of script using GetGameRestarted - which is about the only thing that won't be run for a new game.

Edit: just noticed that you hadn't changed load order, so that suggests the script was good before. I'd still check anything using that test, in case it's referencing a bad item.

I'm not sure how much this will help, but I seem to recall a bug with a mod where the OBSE data wasn't saving correctly and caused such a problem. Unfortunately I don't know what the fix was or which mod it was.

Another thing you could try, which happened to me recently:

Read your OBSE log. If it has a bunch of arrays discarded, track down what mod created those (Wrye Bash, save game, OBSE statistics). If you have since removed that mod, reinstall and enable it.
