Even with a fresh install of Oblivion with no mods or anything, my character walks through every wall and the ground. Also if I look up in walk I will float.

I have tried toggling TCL but I still pass through everything like a ghost. I have the same exact copy of Oblivion on a portable hard drive and it works fine on my grandmas computer. I don't know what else to do.

I'd like to add that I went and bought a new copy of the game yet the problem persists. I have no idea whats going on here.

Is there any way you can disable phsyx thru your video controls on this game? (not saying that IS the problem.... but, its one possibility. I don't use nvidia....)

I suppose so. I think physx is for dual cards and I only have one.

I changed the gpu to the stock ATI 5750 and still get the same problem.

So, it's not the game data or the gpu's fault. I have no idea whats causing this.

I would almost think it was a mod issue, but, the same install work fine on another machine....... so, it IS something specific to your machine, but, is it hardware? Or software???? The only difference between the two machines that is going to be glaringly obvious, is the oblivion.ini, I should think. Have you tried deleting it, and trying the game again?

PROBLEM SOLVED

I reformatted the hard drive and did a clean install of windows and now it works fine. Thanks Guys.
