In the beginning, there was but two things. The One and the darkness that was not the One. And the One looked upon itself and grew lonely, for it was the only thing that ever was. Therefore, he created the World within himself.

The World was an eternal paradise. People were like gods, and lived unending harmonious lives. The One looked upon this World and grew happy, his love for his children knowing no bounds. All was well in the time before time.

The darkness seeped into the World, however. With it it brought a thousand new ideas, each one opposed to the One. Life became death, and the people started to die. Love became hate, and the people warred amongst eachother. Unity became strife, and the people were divided amongst eachother.

The people were divided into two tribes, Men and Mer. They were opposites, and had an inherent loathing for one another. Thus began the great wars. Make no mistake, they continue to this day. Sometimes the Mer enslave the Men, only for the Men to rebel, only for the empires of Men to collapse and be conquered by the Mer. This vicious cycle will only end when all life is under the dominion of one side, when no resistance remains. When unity is finally restored to the World, the people can remake paradise. Through faith in the One, we may achieve this goal.

So the One is the Godhead? Only in this version, he appears to be a lucid dreamer.

Some light-shedding on the Alessian Order would be a great addition to the TES series. Perhaps the focus of a future installment? Nice work on this, it made a good read.
