Splash Damage trying to make Brink rated teen?

Post » Mon Mar 08, 2010 11:09 pm

I know that there have topics that discussed about what Brinks rating might be. But there were a few forum users that say that Splash Damage said that they removed bad language from the game to aim toward a teen rating.

Heres the link: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1139764-what-will-the-esrb-rating-be/page__st__20

Is there an article/interview that confirms this? (if so, PLEASE post the link)

The game itself is not that violent compared to games like Fallout and COD. SD decided to keep it like this because the simple fact, "You can't get back up if your head is blown off." And one the topic of language in the game I also read they took out most language to make it teen. Brink being teen doesn't bother me because, truthfully, ratings don't stop kids from buying a game rated M. So we will still have the kids, but hey, with VOIP turned off (Friends can still talk to you) by default we won't have to hear them.

LOL I have the Bloody Mess Perk in Fallout 3, whenever I shoot a Raider in the head with like a Sniper Rifle when he's already damaged, his whole f**king body explodes.

That's great and all, but that still dosn't answer my main question: WHAT ARTICLE / INTERVIEW WITH SD ABOUT BRINK SAYS THAT!?!

I apoligize for my anger but my question is still not getting answered. :(
