I'm sure you'll manage.

Make it a seperate mesh so it can be scripted to do some damage :whisper:

Sounds like a good idea =)

Just letting people know I'm letting this project hibernate 'til I get time and resources to work with it again.
Believe it or not, computers hate me, my laptop started shutting itself down randomly and I can't get any real work done this way without huge frustration.

Right now all I feel I wanna do is finish up some of the quests I have imagined and the Leviathan Domain.

EDIT: Never mind, I found it, you can expect some updates in the near future.

If anyone would happen to have this laying around, I would like for someone to upload it so I can take a look and maybe update some things =)

I should have it backed up somewhere else, will take some time to find tho.

This mod seems to conflict with Infernal Summoning. Something about a 'Pedestal' and the game crashes :(

I will look it up. I don't have all changes made by the mind but I will definitely research. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. (I almost have a feeling it's my feeble try at dialogue), but I can not be sure.

It's not dialogue, you made some static named PEDESTAL and IS adds a lecturn/container called pedestal. Better add some prefixes to your meshes.

Yes, definitely. Thanks for checking it up. I have been meaning to add prefixes sine earlier versions.

Wow, Thank you for the concern. I really need to update it now haha. Here's a hotfix for you. It fixed about 1/3rd of references that I need to rename. It takes time to look for them all but the pedestal one is among the fixed ones. I hope this helps =)

For every wonder there is a reason. For every reason there is an answer, the answer is patience. The link may be down but the man with the ambition to bring this project back is not.

Who Hides Where? lol

Hey, congratulations =)

Guess I owe an explanation. This is the guy hiding his face: http://i47.tinypic.com/330wci0.jpg

These creatures are slaves to the Waterborn treefolk. They look much more similar to humans in every way.
The Waterborn's history tell of a war in which even the trees took action and consumed the enemies and made them into slaves, these creatures are remnants of that old war. A small population of mostly mindless souls.

But without dreams they are not.

...

Now for an explanation why I didn't follow up on the project before, except for the apparent reason of not having time, one of my biggest issues was getting my animated objects to export correctly. This issue is still not solved however I will simply have to wait until and if that feature is fixed, I have looked at the project to see if I could figure it out myself but I'm no programmer and I failed, miserably.

But for now I'm gonna flesh out and continue detailing the world that is already in place, change some areas, continue bug-fixing the naming convention and other boring stuff. Most notably, I'm getting better with using the quest system so hopefully I can soon get some quests for Hexagonica =) yay. I do have to figure out some things with a certain companion that you can get in Hexagonica for the first quest to be finished =)

Cheers!

Glad to hear you're still working away on this. I've always been intrigued by the story you had.
New Screens (from the other thread) are looking fantastic.

While not really working on any areas as of lately, I have written some more story:

---

[Hexagonica - Triad of Truths]
Concepticus once spoke of truth as a vessel for justice, yet other scholars have opposed this belief - Thinking that just because something
is true, does not make it right.

There has been many attempts by scholars to explain or picture the complex metaverse that is Hexagonica and the amounted knowledge is all
collected in a tome kept in the mountain of minds protected by the Triad of Truths.

This is merely an essay based upon that tome and can (and probably will) be colored by my judgment, forgive any imperfections my view may
have upon the "Truth" that is about to unfold.

[Triotron]
Unraveling history in Hexagonica is chaotic... It never began so it has always been.
Scholars have uncovered truths about the structure of the very fabric of Hexagonica, the so called Triotron which carries a striking
semblance to a classical triquetra.

The Triotron is currently consisting of a charge of 20% Dream and 80% Reality however research by looking at the evolution of the
stabilizing structures of the metaverse that at one time these were at a balance of 50/50, if this is truly a healthy relationship still
eludes the scholars.

So how does the Triotron actually work? Well, behind ambition there is bound to be a dream however if there is real connection to the
subject then that means your committing to a real goal.

The so called "Dreamers" skip the real connection to the subject and archive their needs throght manipulation of the Triotrons by splitting
them apart and recombining them to make up completely new shards within the metaverse that may or may not willingly coexist.
While people who believe in realiy instead change the properties of the Triotron through hard work and as such these things are always bound
to clash.

The lines blur however if say a dreamer create another being who in turn becomes a believer in reality. Usually this means that the other
being simply carries a spec of an ambition still dormant to the knowledge of the dreamer. Other times chaos interfers but very rarely are
these "dream beings" able to unattatch themselves, but it does happen.

---

The reason for writing all this is because I really need a firm grasp on the world I'm dealing with before I can really design more of it.
I'm not 100% sure I did so well at my first attempt at conveying the world. Some things are close, but some level design should probably
be scrapped and remade.

Well.. You'll need a new dl link(I think o_O) and I need to repack the mod so if you can wait a day or a few maybe that'd be awesome =)
