NPCs and mobs standing still

I've just reinstalled Oblivion and found all the plugins that I want. But now I have a problem, some of the

NPCs and mobs just stand there and let me pelt them with arrows and magic. If I get into melee range they attack

like normal. But once I back off, they just stand there. NPC's usually do run around and all that, guards chase me

and NPCs do their wandering around. But it seems like when an NPC engages in combat with a mob, or a mob engages

in combat with me the problem starts. I started a vanilla game and all seems well. Wolves and bandits chase me around like they should.


Anyone heard of this? Know which plugin may be doing it? Thanks.

Make sure you using upto date Ren Guard Overhaul. The most recent is 2.07, previous versions were causing similar problems sometimes.

Quite true, there is an incompatibility with one of the older versions of RGO and alternative start.

Using RGO with an alternate start mod can cause some problems, one of the biggest being exactly what you have.

Oscuro's and Mart's can cause AI overload. One possible fix is http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8158.

I had the same problem, if you turn off RenGuardOverhaul everything will go back to work just fine. However this is the lazy way to fix it, because you do want rens mod :P

The most resent Reneer Guard Overhaul at the moment is 2.06 not 2.07

Another way is to use the 1.9something version, that is what I did. Of coarse, I am still missing out on some great stuff though :(
