I have had fun for the 20 hours I have played and had almost no notice of major bug issues until now... My saved data will not work now because of downloadable content....

I have never played a game that has bugged like this before and if this can't be fixed I want a dang refund!

How in heck did Obsidian or Bethesda catch this majore game breaking bug? Why would they ship it like this and not hold the games release until fixed god dang it!

If they don't fix this ASAP then I want a refund and I will never buy another game of Bethesda/Obsidian games again.

same here, all 5 of my save files now either have the loading screen freeze my system completely, or go to the error screen. svcks. has anyone heard anything new about this being fixed?

I mean, don't get me wrong, love the game...I'm about 23 hours in and lvl 16...I fast traveled to Mojave Outpost, my plan was to talk to Cass, but I shut my system dowm to eat and take a break. When I went back to my game, I hit "Continue" and my load screen locked up my system solid. I've tried individually loading all 5 of my saves and my auto-save...3 of them, the load screen locks up my system, 3 of them, i get the "need DLC/load aborted" error. Unlike others tho, none of my saves ever worked again.

I've patched the game...I'm willing to start a new character IF I knew it wasn't going to happen...but I'd rather a fix be found for this, cause I miss my character, lol. I want to continue back where I was...

This is a crushing glitch...Bethesda, please fix this soon.

Same issue here. I'm roughly 22-23 hours in, let the game update earlier and now all of my saved games are broken. All of the older ones give the "downloadable content not available" error which doesn't load no matter which option you select, and trying to continue my newest save (or even manually selecting it) completely freezes my 360. Clearing the cache and preventing it from reinstalling the update does not fix the issue. I'd like to know if this is something that can be fixed in the future with another patch, or if I'm just screwed and my saves are gone for good.

Suppose we just wait then, play something else and hope that our save games work when it's finally patched

Blame Obsidian since they are the ones to develop this abomination. As for fixes, when it comes to random freezes like that that are consistent, you're pretty much screwed unfortunately. I am in the same boat. All 4 of my manual saves and my auto saves are corrupted by the DLC bug. 35+ hours wasted.

I started a new game but fear that to may become corrupted, so Ill be dropping this game and play a new game (and warn my friends not to buy this game) until the issues are fixed.

REBOOT YOUR XBOX OFTEN

You CAN NOT tell if your save files are corrupted until a reboot, as the "corrupted saves" work just fine in the same session they are created in. Even if you start from a non-corrupted save, it is very likely that the corruption bug will happen again.
