Please post bugs if I leave them out. I really hope Obsidian/Bethesda(Most likely Obsidian because I'm still waiting for a patch to fix the freezing issues and multiple bugs in Fallout 3!) looks at this and fixes these bugs as soon as possible. New Vegas is one of the best RPGs I have played in my entire life so to leave it broken and buggy as it is now would be a real shame.

This thread is devoted to documenting the bugs players may experience in "The Thorn", a area in Fallout: New Vegas

1. Game doesn't officially declare you the winner at the end of a round and therefor will not open any of the doors/gates leading out of the arena, leaving you no other option than to reload a earlier save.

2. Creatures will get stuck behind the doors they are released from, this happens both when they fight each other AND when they fight you. This will lead to the arena becoming completely unusable and broken unless you revert to a earlier save. Talking to Red Lucy will not fix anything as all she will say is "Talk to me after the fighting" or something like that. Leaving and re-entering the arena does not fix it.

3. Creatures will line up staring at one another but never actually start fighting. This causes the same problems as 2 because the arena becomes permanently broken when this happens(Unless the arena resets after 3 days or so, I didn't test it)

4. You fall in the pit by accident and the side gate is not open so you can't leave, you are stuck in there. The other doors you/the creatures normally come out of are also locked.

5. Multiple freezing issues. People report more freezes in "The Thorn" than most other areas in the game. Not sure what would be causing it, reading posts on the issue I can't seem to find any particular pattern.

6. Red Lucy's face will lock up into a strange animation and she will appear to grit her teeth and snarl at the player. When you talk to her her mouth does not return to normal/move at all.

7. Guard will randomly start shooting you while you are participating in a fight, usually as soon as you shoot the creatures. I guess for some reason he thinks you are "interfering in the fight" even though you are a competitor.

8. Whenever you use explosives in the arena such as missile launchers, fat mans, frag grenades, mines etc the guard will start shooting at you. Not sure if intentional?

9.When you go to walk out into the arena when you are participating in a fight the door will not open for you automatically like it is supposed to. Small thing but I thought I would include it.

10. When you go to walk out into the arena when you are participating in a fight the door will seem to be blocked, as if there is a invisible wall infront of the door. The invisible barrier only covers like 3/4s of the opening though so if you walk to the left side it is still possible to gain entrance.



I believe that is all of the Thorn bugs that I've witnessed/read about so far. I really hope you guys fix all of these in the next update as The Thorn is a absolutely AWESOME addition to New Vegas and everyone loves it.. but not for much longer if these things aren't fixed!
