Hey there,
Another couple possibly newbish questions but,

1.I was sent on only my 2nd Fighter's guild quest to retrieve a letter at a tavern (have to sneak around and find it) and replace it with one I was 'given'
two problems; I cant see that I was given any letter in my inventory, and 2, I can't find the letter I need to switch it with... Theres only one searchable cabinet and it only contains a random clothing item and it sends the guards after me when I search it.. Any Ideas?

2. In my first quest to rid a residence of a sabre tooth tigre, I arrived at the house, and hear the beast, it blocks my way, ,but i dont see it...so i start swinging my sword and it ends up dead..(I see final blood) lol
This normal?

Are you running daggerfall with DosBox? or some other way.

I run it on its own,
everything works perfectly other than what Ive stated so far..
It's actualy quite suprising but the game runs beauty. Im on an older p4 3.0ghz 64m video

Best read the stickies and run the game with DOSbox. This bug and many more can be attributed to running the game directly on Windows.

Invisible quest items are a common problem in Daggerfall while running under windows xp, it was designed to run under DOS or win95. I would get DosBox and run it with that if you don't want any problems.

Im having a new problem.......

I installed daggerfall a while ago... Full install, so I'm able to play wtihout my CD.
I actualy know where my CD is, but it will take me forever to obtain it again..
How can I re-sintall the game through dosbox to fix the bugs without my cd??? I can play the game through windows without my cd right now but yeah, to start over and re-install it through dosbox do I need my cd?? Stressing out.

Your second problem (from the first post) happened to me. I had to steal a shirt. I could here a sword swinging but no one was there, I couldn't move either. So I started swinging my sword and I killed the guy. I think if you enter a door and someone/thing is there you will go into him/it.
