Alchohol in Sweden?

Post » Tue Mar 16, 2010 7:48 pm

Here is my problem: where going to Sweden with my scouting group. In Belgium we are allowed to drink alcohol starting from the age of 16. Is it hard to get beer in Sweden for 16/17 year old guys? (Apart from me, there are some other guys who look at least 19, and we've got a guy who is 15 and is 2 meters tall :P)
Besides that, what is the best place to get cheap, but for it's price pretty good, beer? I assume the answer is the supermarket :P but it seems Sweden is an expensive country to visit.

Via wikipedia

Bars/clubs often voluntarily choose to have higher age limits than 18, commonly 20 or 23. It is not illegal to drink below 18, but it is illegal to sell, lend or give alcohol to someone under age[53], and the police can seize alcohol from them. It is legal to give alcohol as a gift to an underage for consumption on location, in a reasonable manner[53].

Have fun with water and soda guys.

Since you're underage there's no reason to keep this thread open.
