Item Codes (how to get)

Post » Wed Mar 17, 2010 5:22 am

Alright all you guys, I just started the game and wanted to add items right off the bat (mostly for repairing my stuff). I couldn't figure it out at first and every command I tried ended up with an invalid parameter. Sooo, after a lot of trial and error I figured a little bit out.

player.showinventory <--- this will show you everything in your inventory and their object IDs.
player.additem XXXXXXX z <--- substitute the X's for object IDs and get your items. / z = number you want

Hope this helps till someone lists all the object IDs.
Hit me back if it helps out and/or you can make getting the IDs easier.

-C

--Also, leave your PIP 3000 and go back in to see the items.

Working Item Codes
open console = the ~ key (button left of 1), also known as the Tilde key
player.srm = repair console
player.additem + code
20420 = Combat Armor
20426 = Combat Helmet
15169 = Stimpak
4240 = 5.56mm Ammo

Not sure if I understand you right, but if you hit the " ~" key, it opens a command prompt at the bottom left hand of the screen. Then just type your codes in.
And if you are asking about the inventory, it will open, but will most likely show you the last few in your inventory.. I'm still working on how to move through the console to view everything. I'm sure there is someone smart enough to figure out how to dump it all to a file... but not me just yet.

All item codes can be gotten by downloading and installing the GECK, and opening the game files. It's actually not all that hard to navigate and find either.

This is true Bek but it is also rather excessive when a text file with all of the commands and item codes will be far more accessible on the fly.

It's possible to alter the SPECIAL stats (Strength would be the one you are looking for) but atm I cannot immediately recall the command.

modding skills and specials works the same as it did in fallout 3.
google fallout 3 console commands or take a look at the Fallout_3_console_commands page on the fallout wiki.

as for the new list of item codes? the wiki is slowly updating them as people submit them
