Lost all items glitch

Post » Sat Mar 20, 2010 7:58 am

I think this happened to me once a long time ago, but I don't remember the fix. Oh - I think it was a patch... I'm using a different computer now and might not have downloaded the patch...

I was doing the job for the Daedric prince that wants you to cast the spell on the Countess of Leyawiin. I cast it on her (not in sneak mode) and was immediately arrested. They took all of my items, and when I finally found a lockpick and opened the evidence chest, there was nothing in it.

I would like to avoid loading a previous save if I can. Losing all of my items was a glitch, right?

Nope, the spell you cast takes all your items away, thats why Sanguine thinks it is so fun. There is a chest back at his shrine that has everything in it. If you go back and talk to him to complete the quest he'll tell you everything is in the chest and let you open it.

Well, he sure got me then, didn't he?
Thanks a lot - I think I do have it patched, actually, yes.
I thought I had done this quest before, but apparently not, because I would have remembered that!

BTW I've done most everything in Oblivion except for Daedra quests, so I have a character who's running around trying to do all Daedric shrines... Whatever it takes to keep my mind off 11.11.11, right?? :whistling:

@Gamermon: Seriosuly, dude, use mods. They'll take your mind off it.

Failing that, read the better fanfics (some good ES. stuff out there, especially The Dark Ages. Or catch a webcomic.
