Cool things that have happenedthat you've done

I recall a very cool situation that happened to me, that you could only do in these kind of games ( not skyrim, however ).

I was doing Boethiahs quest, the one where you do stages of fighting other champions. Theres 9 of them I believe. From those people, you get great armor, great weapons and lots and lots of potions. I had gone in with just enough room for Goldbrand, which is why I had done the quest in the first place. I hadn't expected for there to be some pieces of Daedric and many great weapons.

So after killing the first few and taking my spoils, I was over encumbered. I was truly disappointed, I knew I couldnt come back to this realm of Oblivion after completing the quest, so I had to think for a while. This was on my conjurer/battlemage character, who is also an alchemist. I scrolled through my inventory hoping to find some kind of feather potion, or a strength potion so I could haul this great gear out of there.

While scrolling through, I looked over the many different ingredients I had gathered over the course of my travels, and realized one of them had feather properties. Then I realized I could just make my own potion. So I looked through more ingredients to find that I had enough to make feather potions, and they were great potions. I made dozens of them, and drank many at a time because I believe they stacked. So I gathered up all the great gear, lots of it, I think it was over 900 pounds, and I successfully made it to a town where I sold most of it and kept some for myself.

I was amazed at what I had done, how I thought of what to do, and how I had the perfect ingredients to do it. In a game like Skyrim, you just couldn't do that, due to their simplification of the alchemy system, among other things.

I'm curious to see other peoples cool situations. Im sure there has been another topic like this, but I don't want to bring back an old topic.

It's possible that I'm not understanding what you're trying to say, but Philters and Draughts of Strength apply Fortify Carry Weight effects in Skyrim too.

I used CS to enchant the guards arrows with frenzy enchantment. The result was spontantious random self-sustaining riots. Works best with CM Partners set to 'kill everything'. Every minor quest has a potential to become a catastrophic disaster. I guarantee many countless inglorious deaths [usually at the hands of your own crazed companions].
I have four companions, two were crazed and started to fight. Two fled and the Player character went into 'flee' mode.

I used a charm spell to enchant my garments as a result the villains runs pass me and attacks my companions. I just casually loot the dungeons while they do the fighting. When I grabbed the helm in the Vahtacen, three lichs just followed me around and attacked all other npcs. You get to see many intersting things when you don't have to fight anymore.

I used Boethia's quest to stock up on strong healing potions. Came out of Oblivion with about 150 of them :D. Definitely had to use a feather potion to carry the reward after that.

I always create feather potions with my alchemy skill. They are invaluable if you want to carry a bunch of loot to sell or whatever. Feather potions are a big reason my alchemy skill is over 70.

Well, in Skyrim you could just keep moving with your encumbrance. :P Albeit at a snails pace. Lol.
I always try and remember to have a few feather potions when entering gates of Oblivion.

What I meant was, you can't create potions without being at an alchemy station.
