The Music

Post » Sat Mar 20, 2010 9:33 am

So when i first started Fallout 3 i didn't listen to much music only to a few Artists due to most music being really stupid or i didn't like it, but when found out this game had a radio i thought what the hell so i turn it on and what do you know a lot of the songs where pretty cool so i was wondering who where all the real life musicians that are/ or were in Fallout? and are their other songs that they had before the 1950s or up to the 1960s? still on the same note wouldnt their been more songs in the fallout Universe such as Jazz,Classical or even country?

I know that the ink spots are real, but the others i dont know the names.

Here ya go, list of all songs and the artists that made them.

■Mighty, Mighty Man by Roy Brown
■Let's Go Sunning by Jack Shaindlin
■Anything Goes by Cole Porter
■I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire by The Ink Spots
■Way Back Home by Bob Crosby & The Bobcats
■Butcher Pete (Part 1) by Roy Brown
■A Wonderful Guy by Tex Beneke
■Crazy He Calls Me by Billie Holiday
■Civilization by Danny Kaye with the Andrews Sisters
■Easy Living by Billie Holiday
■Happy Times by Bob Crosby & The Bobcats
■Into Each Life Some Rain Must Fall by The Ink Spots featuring Ella Fitzgerald
■Maybe by The Ink Spots
■I'm Tickled Pink by Jack Shaindlin
■Boogie Man by Sid Phillips
■Jolly Days by Gerhard Trede
■Fox Boogie by Gerhard Trede
■Swing Doors by Allan Gray
■Rhythm For You by Eddy Christiani

If you like their songs featured in Fallout 3 I would suggest looking more into each of these artist's music.

Some of the songs listed are from before the 1950s, I believe the Ink spots in particular were popular during the 1930s.

Fallout New Vegas has them (country, classical).

The music is great, its unfortunate that its such a small selection and keeps repeating, but for the time i played fo3 and new vegas i had the radio running, now i have the music on my computer and its runs on my rotation everytime i play music.

There is none. Other than their real world history.

I think you need to look at these songs with a bit of "Game Logic". 3Dog isn't actually playing the Inkspots, he's playing a song from just before the blasts by a different group, but the style of music hasn't moved on from the 1950's.

Ehhh...I would have to disagree with this. Three Dog mentions on a couple of occasions the actual artists of the songs he's playing, Ella Fitzgerald being one that comes to mind. He's actually playing (in the game universe) those songs, its just that those same artists and their music has remained popular since the 1950s.

Mr. New Vegas also mentions the real-world aritsts several times, ex: "Sure is Dean-o [Dean Martin] sure is!"

You also have to apply game logic to the segues.

The net result in taking everything literally that you see in game is to have 5 levels in V13 that are furninshed, populated but innacessable in any way.

They are alternate reality versions of the artists. Just the name and song is like this world.

In fallout they would be diferent people probabely. Darker and more nuclear themed.

I see, So i just apply Fallout lologic, i do remember during fallout 3 that 3 dogs did talk about one of the artist also if i remember right so does in fallout: new vegas ( dont remember that well i've been playing Neverwinter Nights 2 lately but i'll check later to make sure), but i stil gotta say the music is kinda cool only if they had more song but given what happen in the "Great War" i cant really say anything i guess that is whats left unless there is more out there..but who knows.
