Lore Gathering Idea

Post » Wed Nov 28, 2012 1:28 pm

I've come up with an idea, which I doubt many will be willing to participate. It's not a very big idea, so it won't take long.

Basically, every week or so, I choose a topic and people contribute as much lore (basic or advanced) as they're willing to contribute to this thread, and then I collate it all and make an article on my hard drive about it. This repeats and every so often I publish these documents online for everybody to read or whatever it is people do with lore documents.

What do you all think? The obvious benefit is people been able to study specific topics at their own leisure (including me :D). And everybody will end up learning something.

Obviously there will be problems with speculation but that's sortable.

Anybody think it's a good idea?

You mean writing our own fanfics about the given topic, or collecting in-game documents and existing apocrypha? Either way, I'll probably play.

The latter more like, preferably with in game sources but some things like the godhead (I'm not sure if that'll ever be used as its kinda fiddly) can't get many if any sources other than people's own thoughts.

Why not just collect the info from one of the well established sites, like the Imperial Library? Because that's where most people get their info from anyways.
