Ok so I have played Skyrim to death and want to have a go on oblivion which I bought on the cheap. I want to ask a few questions that makes it different to Skryim apart from the obvious stuff.

Ok so firstly - Is a dark elf a good race to start with on this game?

How does levelling up differ from Skyrim? is there a difference in the specialisation of certain skills.

How important is all that skill choosing stuff at the beginning?

Any other advice for a newbie would be much appreciated.

This should help http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Differences_Between_Morrowind,_Oblivion,_and_Skyrim.My advice would be play any race you want it dosent matter and ignore leveling it is a bit stupid to min-max in Oblivion and its really boring too.Leveling is quite diffrent from Skyrim and the biggest 2 things are you must sleep before you level and there are no perk trees.Hope I helped oh and

My advice, do not put ANY of the skills you intend to use in your major skill picks, it helps level out the levelling process, IMO, of course.

I might have to try that for my new charcter but I never level up fast at all anyway and I have OOO.
