Crytek and EA - Crysis3 (Please Read)

Post » Mon Dec 03, 2012 9:09 pm

Ok so, i love the idea of Crysis3, i think its gonna be a Sell Out. But there is a couple things that Disappoint me. I heard Crytek, that you guys were gonna use the same Engine for Crysis3, Please don't do that. Come on now, you guys can't use CryEngine3 again. Don't be like InfinityWard, they used the same Engine for Mw3 as they did in Mw2 and it looks the same, and i don't want that to happen in Crysis3 with you guys. I think you guys can make this game GREAT, just if you don't use the same Engine "CryEngine3" Alot of Fans left Mw3 because InfinityWard was lazy to make a New enigine. I don't want to ask for much(Witch I Probly Am) but, would you guys Consider makeing CryEngine4 ? and Make More and Stronger Weapons? Oh, and PLEASE make Online Multiplayer better. That's what I want from Crysis3 and im sure some people may agree with me. So Please Crytek and EA do this for you're fans. We all would Appreciate this.

Thanks,
Nick

Considering Cryengine 2 got crysis, warhead and wars, I think cryengine 3 can stand to get another game.

Especially since Cryengine 3 is extremely capable. It's not like they're using a modified 1999 engine to release games in 2011...

They mentioned some sort of "innovation" in the graphics side of things. I somehow recall something about a new engine?

Not like either of us two GAFs eh? ;)

Game engines don't really work like that. They are made for many different uses; just because CryEngine was realeasefd with crysis to showcase it does not mean all cryengine games have to look exactly like it. You can modify how a game looks and the type of animations/game settings and characters that are actually in the engine.

CryENGINE 3 was released in 2009. It was majorly different by the time Crysis 2 launched and it will be majorly different again by the time Crysis 3 launches. We have a huge R&D department who spend all of their time making improvements to the engine, working on new tech and improving on the old.

It's a constantly evolving entity. We don't need to release a new engine yet, there's still tonnes we can do with CE3.

Some people can't understand that you can make great looking game with an old engine (Portal2 for example)... and CE3 is not old, especially with the fact that it's upgradeable and it's "evolving"... and to add on all of that, CE3 in Crysis2 wasn't used to the max (fgs C2 was made for consoles lol).

I'm expecting fantastic Crysis3 game from CryEngine3! :)
