Crysis 3 launch date and on which platform.

In regards to crysis 3 launch date, i am not sure if this sounds insane to some of you, but is it possible for crytek to hold the release of crysis 3 for the consoles to later or maybe leave crysis 3 a pc exclusive for the time being?

If profit motives are not satisfied this could be dealt with later which the possible release of the new upcoming consoles in the following year(s) to come hopefully. This is not meant to deprive all consoles gamers of this excellent game, i am a console gamer myself for a fact, but which the new improved hardware of this new consoles will compensate for not having a dumb down version of this game.

I rather a game which can share worldwide quality in its name than one which pushes the capabilities of an old gaming system and dumbing down of leading computer platforms.

The ones who would bring complains to the box would be the those gaming systems pushed to it limits, cause many problems will arise and its not worth it cause it also destorys brand image so please if possible, just hold back the release till the new consoles come out.

getting tired of seeing threads lke this. Crysis 3 is being released this gen. Get over it, who gives a f*ck that it's not coming out next gen. Like I said in another thread, if Crysis 3 was a launch title for the next gen, how many of us would honestly be able to afford a $600+ console AND $60+ for Crysis 3 AND $60+/year for Xbox Live/PSN (which will eventually cost money)?

Crysis 3 which will be released this gen will suffer no matter how, except on the ps3, and the DX 9 on the xbox 360 will only bring graphical strain to the whole console system.

With the release of the new consoles game won't require as much effort to produce the game, as they try their best to maximize the potential of the game on the console, instead they should focusing on the upcoming release of the next gen consoles and try to be the launch title and by then crysis 3 will be cheaper on the console as well if the success on the pc will help to keep prices down on the next gen consoles and lesser effort to produce will also lead to the same outcome.

In addition the new next gen consoles will mostly be motion-sensing consoles which most launch titles then will look to try the break into the market with their motion controlled games and if crysis 3 is launched then, it will benefit and if launched nicely on that period, it maybe one of the few non-motion-controlled games which will be recognised as the most game will follow the new gaming tech trend, and crytek remaining old school and with quality to back their game may have their future secured on the consoles with that possible following success for the later years to come.

And its also better for the Ps3 if they were to be allowed to fully utilize blue-ray on the Ps3 and thus better quality of the game overall instantly. Ps3 consoles can be pushed further and achieve a higher performance than it is now if all verions of crysis 3 is produce independently instead of trying to compensate the rest of the other consoles limitations, and maybe the next gen Ps may also bring the gaming platforms to the next level, and given the up in processing power on the next gen consoles, and since it most likely not be motion-controlled, there will be alot of a higher peformance available for the crysis 3 and thus generate more appraisals than what it gets now.
