Any L-TAG tips?

Post » Thu Dec 06, 2012 4:23 pm

Hi guys, I'm making my way through the weapons and leveling them up. I've just got to the L-TAG, and I'm rubbish with it. Seem to be getting a lot oh hit markers, but not many kills. The kills I have got are more luck than anything else.

Anyone got any tips?

Leveling in up mate ~ or I wouldn't use it. ...although, I used to hate some of the other guns ~ until I took the time to get used to them.

Than do it in Crash Site... City hall is a good map, Skyline too (got my first psycho there, with the L-tag) and try to stay from a distance.
Shoot one first to see if you get hitmarkers, then shoots the rest.

TIP: Shoot one and reload --> You get 7 instead of 5-6

L-TAG is very tricky, but I met a player once who used it in a very skillful way.
He was running around and whenever he found an opponent he power jumped in cloak over it's target and then L-Tagged him in a similar way some players use C4.
I tried to play like that too but for some reason I couldn't move fast enough to perform the same acrobatic skills, always run out of power in mid action, even with mobility enhance on...

I scored 26-3 with the L-tag in parking deck while I still played. The trick is to keep your eyes peeled for cloaked fellows because they always get ohko'd by any L-tag grenade. You can even use your visor if you have trouble spotting them. But if you find yourself behind an enemy sprinting away, shoot your nade in the direction he's moving and watch the magic happen. Other than that, you can shoot above doors while running though them so that the nade ricochets off the wall and hits the guys following you while you escape.

If you're in a full on 1v1 and lost your essence of surprise, only fire while power jumping to let the nade bounce, you're more likely to get a kill if you aim for the floor around the enemy rather than the enemy himself. It works even better if your enemy is next to a wall.

It's super cheese but you coudl just be like one of the other newbs and just fire the L-Tag all game into teh Crash Site, thats pretty bich though. The only tip I can say for you with the L-Tag is to use each shot to find where the enemy is. Sometimes you'll get a hit marker on the first one but the second one will do the trick.

Pie's tips are good ones so take them into account with this piece of advice: when using the L-Tag it is very important to realize that your position is revealed very clearly to the enemy from the moment you fire your first round, taking this into consideration you must FIRE ONE SHOT at your enemy (preferably while the enemy is in cloak) and whether you hit or miss RELOCATE so your enemy nor his team mates do not figure out where you are. What this will also teach you is speed and accuracy by teaching you that you must kill with one shot or else you get nothing. **Oh and if someone is up close melee'ing you then keep firing your L-Tag next to you because the nade will blow up after you die and kill them leading to a skill kill (VENGEANCE)**.

Nice one. Yeah all the tips so far have been a big help. Thanks guys.

I find CLOAK TRACKER helps spot players, soon as my RETRIEVER is back to level III ~ I'll try either WEAPON PRO or RAPID FIRE.

Looks like I'll be using the L-Tag for a few more weeks ~ been getting a lot of hate mail recently; not sure if it's because I'm levelling up the L-Tag or if it's because I'm Level 50/5th suit.

...I even got some hate mail from a feline toting SE/ET, melee spammer ~ because I was losing sooo badly with the L-Tag in IA match!?!
He was winning most games; even his final kills were all glitch-kills (then he rage quit when I changed my class and started beating him).
