I was playing Crysis 2 yesterday and multiplayer worked like a charm on the ps3. But today it freezes during the loading of multiplayer. It says "Initializing squad" then freezes. I have read many things on sites, but no results. I did notice that this same thing happened last year. Yes I know this is 2012 now and Crytek is at work on Crysis 3, but please fix this issue. Any ideas how to fix this anybody? Please write back.

I already have a post started on this, seems I'm not alone now at all. Whatever they did today with a patch they really screwed up the game. It's been 24hours since I first got the freezing and still cannot get in.

Edit: Was reading in the pc and xbox forums on a different site and seems a lot of people on PC and Xbox are getting it too. Here's to hoping Crytek actually comes on here and sees this and fixes this crap. I love this game, but this kinda thing should not be happening, especially when it was reported to them last year when it first occurred.

I got went on yesterday for a couple of games ~ before I had to switch it off so the Mrs could watch TV ...I got on OK, but noticed the maps were mixed differently. Maybe that's a part of the path; hope they've dropped the DLC into rotation.

no they havent mecha its a patch they wouldnt be able to because of the guys who do not have dlc which is a waste of money coz no one plays on it: (

Wait I don't quite understand. Are you saying that the people that do not have DLC might not have this problem resolved or is it the other way around?

They really should put them into the rotation and give the DLC away for free. I bought the decimation for the FY71 because of using it in Crysis 1, i did get to play on the content several times then it became a ghost town on the maps. Still cannot log in though which is greatly annoying. Been well over 24 hours at this point and still ps3 freezing at initializing squad. Whatever they did on that patch screwed the game up so bad it isn't funny. I have the limited edition, dunno if that could be why or just Crytek is too incompetent to read forums and reply and fix the dang game.

I too have limited edition and like you said I hope it isn't just the limited edition. If they don't get this fixed fast I will return it and get a different game.

It's pretty bad no response at all from Crytek. Emailed them, sent messages on facebook, sent messages on twitter, even emailed EA and not one single response. Goes to show how screwed up Crytek is now from joining with EAfail.

Any update on this? I tried a different disc (digital version from the PS store) and the game still froze. So I know it is not my console or disc that are to blame. Going on four days now with no access.

I don't think that money is the issue here.

no dude but the reason why crytek may have some glitches for instance stat resetting module upgrades resetting is because they do not have the money to spend whereas bigger and more well know developers have the money to sort out these glitches. Either that or they are lazy which i find hard to believe since they are going to be bringing out c3 next year...

I have more than 48 hrs with initializing squad freezing, I have complained @crysis on tweeter and no response, there's no official information so far, I have limited edition, still wating for a fix.

The edition doesn't matter. I have limited edition And downloaded the digital copy from PS store and it still froze. It is an issue with their servers I am sure of it.

It's the Limited Edition. It's tied to your account, switching versions won't matter unless you have a new account. I've tested it on a friend's ps3 who doesn't have limited edition and it worked just fine. So whatever they did with that patch the 21st screwed up the limited edition accounts. Though I have talked to a few pc users who cannot get on and don't have limited edition. It seems mostly centered around Limited Edition accounts though.

So is there any way to fix this?

No way as of now to correct it. It's been nearing 3 days now that I have been unable to play MP at all. I've emailed crytek, PM'd crytek mods, tweeted to crytek even post and messaged them on facebook and not one response at all.

Come on Crytek, prove to us you do care about your game and community and reply to us that you are working to fix the multiplayer or w/e.
