Do nanosuit points/upgrades carry over to new games?

I'm currently (stuck) in that building where you have to get out and disable the EMP device. Cna't say that I'm keen to replay the game (it seems interminable, unlike the original), but I suppose there MIGHT be some replay value in the game if the upgrades you make to your nanosuit carry over into new games.

Currently I have made NO upgrades (the system hasn't interested me at all...unlike the upgrades in the Bioshock games). I have 27,000 points in the bank, so to speak.

So...

Question 1:

If I don't use my upgrade points in this game, will they be available in a new game? Hell, I might even try and finish this first game I'm on with NO upgrades.

Question 2:

If I upgrade my nanosuit, do the changes carry on into new games? And what about unused points? Do they carry over too?

Question 3:

Is the game glitchy for those nano particles from dead Cylons you have to collect? I don't seem to get them for EVERY Cylon I kill...just some of them have this. And they're available even when your marines kill the Cylons instead of you. So, yeah, how glitchy is this game? In general it seems to be really glitchy at times...e.g the enemy AI can veer from idiotic to glitchy sometimes.

Answer to questons 1 and 2: Yes. Third question: They're called the Ceph, and I've never had any trouble on getting the stuff they drop.

Thanks. What about the 2nd part of question 2? I.e. say you spend most of your points on nanosuit upgrades but have, say, a few hundred points left over...does that carry over into a new game too?

When you play the game do you get those nano particles of whatever you call them for every Cylon that you kill? Like I said, I only got those SOME of the time for every Cylon that I killed...is that a glitch or is it meant to be random and for only some of the Cylons that you kill?

If you're not getting the stuff from all the aliens, then it's a glitch. And everything carries over: attachments, modules, un-used nano particles...

You know if not getting the nanoparticles would be a common glitch? Unlikely to be patched?

Something like that would really hurt a player...they could be missing thousands of points that they could use on upgrades due to them not getting paid every time they kill a Cylon.

I'm guessing that it was also a glitch that when I tried getting to that EMP device to sabotage it that there was no way out of that building you had to get out of...the one with the door on the 2nd floor with a light above it...just makes you think that the game is stupid and that maybe you are missing out on a clue to help you work out how to get out of that building...but it's just a glitch so you waste minutes going around in circles trying to find your way out.

When I turned the machine on again afterwards the exit to the building was easy to see.

Stuff like that is annoying. Ubisoft is the worst offender I've come across for glitches though...but Crysis 2 is quite glitchy.

You know that you have to walk over the point they died to get them, right? ( Just a confirmation) This game isn't getting patches anymore. And what level are you talking about? Eye of the Storm?

Yup. I suppose I really started to notice it once the aliens had been in the game for a while. It was random anyway...the nanoparticles don't hang around much either, unfortunately. So, either they disappear quickly or they just don't appear to start with...wouldn't know what % of Cylons don't give up their nanoparticles...at a guess, I would say most of them don't, e.g. 60% or more.

That very final section where you have the cloaked Cylons, I assume you don't get nanoparticles for them?

Anyway, I completed the game on Normal, with no upgrades. THAT would be a cool trophy to have for doing that, I think! Got just over 38,000 upgrade points...if I decide to replay on Normal - not that I'm keen to - hopefully those points will still be there...so I can try and get some of those stupid trophies I missed out on.
