In the soul cairn we see no souls from the Daedric races ... no Dremora, Golden Saints, Seducers, etc. In Shivering Isles we are told that the Chimes (iirc) guide the displaced souls back, or something along those lines. Anyone who can give the exact quote? -- it would be helpful.

Anyway, it occurs to me that Soul Trapped Dremora/Aureals/Mazken seem to wiggle free from the grasp of the ideal masters.

I mention this because I was trying to map out a list of practices that a moral PC might accept for who is fair game to soul trap. I place Necromancers and Vampire Masters in that list because they eagerly do the same to you. (Purchased filled soul gems would not be acceptable. Looted ones are.) Mostly I was debating whether to add daedra to the list.

So really, two issues:

[1] When can a moral PC justify trapping/using soul gems? I don't give a rancid dingo's kidney about what YOU do, I just want thoughts on what is morally justified.

[2] Do you aggree that the daedric races wiggle free from the ideal masters?
