Indoril Currais

Hey, i'm trying to modify the indoril currais with blender, but i haven't got the faintest idea how to do this, as it's model is different than other parts of armor. I've done http://i.imgur.com/x903Y.png (added new belt and sash)
but it doesn't work http://i.imgur.com/9YmuH.png?1?9867
I've tried many methods to modify it, but it still doesn't work. Any ideas how should i deal with it?

Skinned stuff, you need to rig and parent it to the skeleton (and it must be named correctly too)
