I just picked up Oblivion after spending a straight year in Skyrim. Not my first Bethesda game as I exhaused FO3 and NV. Anyway, to my post.

I have just created a Wood Elf, who is an Agent and who will specialize in sneak, archery and alchemy. I hinged on this build for my Sneaky Nord in Skyrim who was heavy into Alchemy (more for the poisons than anything).

How the heck to I start Alchemy in Oblivion? I accidentally sold my mortal and pestile after leaving the sewer. I'll purchase another one, but at my low level 2, how would I best go about making potions woth some good $? What are the best early ingredients to combo and roughly how much for each? I've read UESP.net, but it's so much more involved in Oblivion (which is a good thing).

*edit* I have roughly $300 coins right now after purchasing my horse. I'd like to earn some monely quickly to purchase the shack in the Waterfront to store my ingredients and my Alchemy tools.
