Who owns Morrowind in the 4th Era

Post » Tue Dec 18, 2012 7:35 am

I always thought the An-Xileel owned Morrowind in 4th Era, but (sadly) I was told that they only owned a southern part. Who owns the rest?

Personally I think Bethesda should make An-Xileel more powerful in Tamriel politics as it make a 3-empire stand-off and not just a stalemate between Empire and Dominion.

Morrowind is probably owned by the Dunmer.

During the Oblivion Crisis the Empire withdrew most of it's forces from the province. As a result House Hlaalu lost most of it's power.
Without the Legion, House Redoran was the only House able to defeat the Argonians.
Currently Redoran is the dominant house and rules the country along with the Great House Dres, Indoril, Telvanni and Sadras.

Historically, Black Marsh has rarely been a major power in of itself, and usually prefers to stay isolated. The only reason why Black Marsh fares so well against invasion is because its mind-numbingly difficult to get to its proverbial heart. Outside of Red Years aftermath, you just don't hear about the Argonians mounting successful invasions.
