I actually did get my free copy of Ultimate Edition from Bet

I've been reading these forums for a while. I created this account just to inform you all of my situation. I saw a subject a while back were the moderator locked the thread when 1 of you out there inquired about getting a free copy of New Vegas Ultimate Edition, because the recent DLC has basically rendered your game unplayable. Well, I have good and bad news for all of you and I will start with the good news. The good news is after about 3 months fighting with Bethesda software about getting a free copy of UE, I finally did about 2 weeks ago. Don't get me wrong, this was not easy. I had to have my problem escalated up to a "tier 3" level supervisor and basically had to demand that anything less then a brand new copy of UE would have been unacceptable. This was after they tried to send me a free pack of New Vegas playing cards in the mail that really ticked me off. Nevertheless, after about 2-and-a-half months of battling, troubleshooting, ect, the tier 3 rep finally called me and told me they would replace my regular copy with a brand new UE copy, and I didn't even have to worry about sending my old copy back. He apologized it took so long and thanked me for all of my feedback. I felt pretty satisfied as if I had done a good job of resolving the problem. Because honestly, I was thinking about a suit for a second and had even mentioned that to them.

Okay, so now the bad news. New Vegas Ultimate Edition is exactly the same as the regular editon with all the content downloaded. Same game freezes, same lag, same frustration. While I am grateful for Bethesda for attempting to fix the problem with what I asked for. I am stunned that they would re-release a game in 2011 with the exact same problems it had in 2010. For those that don't know, the game becomes unplayable after about 60-80 hours. If that is not grounds for a lawsuit, I don't know what is.

I am a big fan of Bethesda, but their sheer laziness for the Playstation platform is embarrassing. To try to blame something on Sony (which was their number 1 argument the entire time I dealt with them) is even more embarrassing. Every other gaming platform has figured out how to make successful games on the platform except you guys. The worst part is underneath all the flaws, if they had just taken maybe 1 more year to release the game, it cold have been 1 of the best games ever. And I still like it a whole lot, which is why I took the time to write this in the first place. That said I will wait a good 6 months after Fallout 4's release to ensure I'm not buying another broken game.

So... are you going to offer to return the game since it wasn't the problem?
