Hello I just bought L-tag at lvl 31 after getting a primary weapon unlock that I didn't need that much

So I went on a match and I said "L-tag for the win :p" after someone said Marshall is best and before we barley started a kick vote was started against me! :O

Am I in the wrong here? As a lot of ppl on the match seemed to think I was

You see, a lot of weapons are banned on servers, mostly L-Tag as it causes LAG on the server...yeah, blame Crytek here.

Which is why you will get voted most of the time. This includes using FY71,Scar+Laser as these weapon combos are either bugged or too overpowered. And some servers explicitly say which weapons are banned.

Be careful and read the server rules when the match is loading and you will be in the clear.

Oh hh yeh I see scar and laser a lot but have never seen l tag..

It's cause people know that l-tag causes lag, and is generally annoying so even if it's not in the rules, you may still get votekicked.

You are free to use any of the weapons, but in my opinion it's best to avoid using FY71 and L-Tag. Scar+Laser is heavily discouraged in official servers even if it's not in the rules(unless servers explicitly allow it).

Here are a couple of reasons of why a particular weapon is banned.

FY71 - Overpowered. Once you equip the laser or Aim Enhance it kills easily. But it's still overpowered without either.
L-Tag - Causes lag on the server, generally annoying sound of explosions.
Scar+Laser - Makes you strafe so fast, no one can properly aim at you and you have too reduced recoil. Add in Aim Enhance and it's speedhacking.
