Introduction


So it seems that war, war never changes. Through-out the course of history, nations rose to great heights and yet some fall; in a post-apocalyptic Earth, nations have risen up from the ashes of the nuclear war and the race is on to see which will survive in this hostile world? In North America, these new nation have risen up from the ashes of to build complex infrastructures, militaries, research and a diverse array of ideologies and creeds.

From the sub-arctic tundra of northern pre-war Canada to the cool savannahs of Mexico and beyond you will RP as one of these nations. Your choices and leadership will determine their ultimate fates, be it prosperity or annihilation; what shall happen is all up to you.

The following rules have been agreed upon:


1. War is always a possibility, ensure however that you are prepared to face the consequences. When attempting to conquer or wage war with other factions take distance and other geographical factors into consideration; for example, a west coast nation wishing to deploy it's navy to the east coast would have too do so by circumvating South America which would obviously have consequences for your plans.

The current agreed upon minimum period of time it would take to establish a proper state administration over a region in a total war scenario is a minimum of one territory (usually based upon pre-war/IRL geography) every four years when these geographic difficulties come into affect. This time is spent establishing proper administration, logistics etc of your region to ensure that it doesn't just fall apart after you move your troops on for your next conquest, during the four year period things are rebuilt, connection and trade-routes re-established and the local become accustomed (though not necessarily content) with your administration. If you wish to make a case for seeking exemption from this law feel free too do so entirely in the knowledge that your recent conquest will be regarded by largely indefensible from attack by someone else; such are the perils of expansionist greed and biting off more than you can chew.

2. Do your best to use proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation, it’s easier to read and understand and makes everything look better; in-addition It’s also hard to take delegates seriously that don’t use it.

3. Your representatives are still characters and individuals, keep this in mind.

5. Please inform the rest of us if you intend to leave.

6. Do not be overpowered, a point which cannot be enunciated any further. What constitutes as over-powered behaviour will often be determined in these out-of-character threads and will be discussed accordingly; present your case for your actions as see fit.

The direct continuation of the pre-war United Kingdom state that survived the Resource and later Great, wars; the state survived nuclear devastation through a series of nuclear shelters across the country built for continuity of government. The royal family was however killed in the exchange shortly after their aircraft took off form the Kensington Gardens and the emergency post-war Parliament sought to abolish the constitutional powers of the monarchy, transferring the existing royal powers to an elected official, the Lord Protector; the House of Lords was then abolished by the new Lord Protector at the request of Parliament to greatly ease the legislative and government process, this marked a series of sweeping Parliamentary reforms. Though created as a largely subservient role, the authority of the Lord Protector and the scope of the incumbent’s power have only grown with time as has the weight of his advisory “Council of State”.

Great Brytain itself was a true wasteland; great pre-war cities had become ruins of rubble and crawling with disease. From its new underground capital “Hawthorn” in Corsham, Wiltshire, the Commonwealth quickly established a web of control across the island. Promised relatively reasonable amounts of food, shelter and safety, great swathes of the surviving public gathered in the small pre-war towns which would become the new major population centres of the future; these people would become little more than slaves that harkened back to medieval serfdom, toiling away in agricultural and manufacturing projects under the watch of Brytish soldiers.

Subsequent generations were kept largely docile, poorly educated and dependant on the states handouts. They were more than content to live lives of abject poverty and hardship for their few blessed comforts; in-addition to alcohol, ganja had become another of the common mans life supplements, paid out almost like currency of which the serf (commonly known as proles) only ever saw from a distance.

Though bands of “wildmen” and genuine resistance continues to cause trouble from their hidden lairs progress continued, Brytish soldiers quickly established dominion in Ireland – which had ecologically fared somewhat better than Great Brytain. But old habits die-hard and Europe, for-ever a jigsaw of nationalities, is in a state of constant war between new and old-world nations; for the UK this enemy is France, old-world France, which survived much like the UK, itself, had. As France pushed south into former Germany, Brytain seized much of Normandy and re-asserted itself over former Channel Islands territory. Brytain and France continue to fight over control of Normandy, coastal Brittany and, in-particular, the Flanders region of former Belgium; there currently exists a shaky peace between them in the face of the looming threats from further east whom have also tired of fighting each-other. Seeking new lands too conquer and trade with (much like before), the Lord Protector has deigned to create the “Commonwealth Colonial Office” and assigned to it assets from the Brytish Army and Navy for colonial expansion into the Caribbean and North America.

Government, Society & Economy

The UK is a noble republic, with the Lord Protector (and his Council of State) as the head of state and the almost 1000 year-old Parliament as the legislative body. 85% of the registered population (thus not including wildmen, traitors and those un-accounted for in the ruins of cities) are proles with the remaining 15% their freeman overlords with a clear class divide between the two, in-addition to governance freemen become merchants, doctors, engineers and scientists whilst the proles work the land, in mines and scavenging the cities for currently non-replaceable technologies; enlisted personnel of the armed forces are also drawn from the prole ranks.

The Proles themselves are docile and subservient, dependant on the rule of the nobles because of their own intentionally stunted education. They are concerned entirely with ultimately meaningless and trivial personal and local concerns, preferring to spend their down time intoxicated on alcohol at the public house, or cannabis in a ganja den, as opposed to doing anything constructive with their time (admittedly in the rare instance such an opportunity may exist). Should their fervour or support be required, usually for war with France, they can be riled up into a somewhat patriotic fervour under the illusion of purpose and reward. For them, this is the way it always has been and so shall it be – this uncommon realisation perhaps the greatest feat of existentialism the prole will make.

On a larger scale (often beyond that of the prole) Brytain itself is governed, regionally, in a neo-feudalist system. Pre-war Brytish counties (or shires in Scotland) have been subdivided into baronies, in return for authority and privilege over the land Barons are expected to run the barony responsibly and profitably and provide taxes and tithes of personnel to the Brytish government. Barons also have their own, heavily regulated, private army to deal with regional strife from wildmen and rebels, but may call upon the assistance of the Brytish Army if need be. There are many hundreds of Barons whom make up the greatest number of attendance as Members of Parliament. Above the Barons come the Earls whom, in-addition to their own barony, are responsible for keeping the other barons in-check as-well as dealing with regional issues and being able to work for their counties behind the scenes of Parliament politics; they are something of an intermediary position between the barons and full government officials. Finally come the Dukes, who command new, post-war jurisdictions; 11 Regional Seats of Government (created as part of Brytish continuity plans) across the UK incorporate many counties on entirely geographic (as opposed to historic) justifications. All Dukes are Earl’s who have seceded their baronies to their next-of-kin in place of pre-war underground bunkers built expressly to run these zones after the war.

Money, pre-decimalised Great Brytish Pounds, only change hands between freemen as proles are compensated directly with food, alcohol and ganja. The economy itself is highly regulated by the government whom work in-tandem with their fellow merchant nobles; existing corporations are in-effect extensions of the government and both designed and operated to increase the amount of money in government coffers. The creation of the Commonwealth Colonial Office will lead to possibilities for new ventures safe from incursion by European powers.

Military

The Brytish Army continues much like it did before the war as an entirely volunteer force, drawing its ranks from the hordes of proles which make up the population; though somewhat more educated and literate than their peers they represent very much the same attitude, fighting more for survival and pride. They are rude, ill-kempt but vicious in-combat. Officer ranks are however drawn from freemen and are likely the only time that any freeman may genuinely bond with a prole, though separate by class, wealth and status in every respect and even back at the barracks, the battlefield often makes strange bedfellows of men; officers are always literate, always educated and indeed display a greater amount of physical prowess than their noble brethren – they are never found wanting on the battlefield.

The pre-war Enfield XL70 remains the standard issue rifle of the Brytish Army, its fame as “almost indestructible” is due to the advanced polymers used in its construction. This same trait however has made the weapon impossible to currently produce on a mass scale making every rifle both valuable and often more-so than the soldier using it; recovery of these weapons on the battlefield is both strongly encouraged and rewarded. The soldiers themselves wear khaki buff coats with trousers of a slightly darker shade and black leather boots; the torso is protected by a cuirass constructed from advanced polymer and alloys combining manoeuvrability with moderate protection. Field-officers will also be armed with a slight variation on the Brytish naval cutlass, essentially a machete, which can make short-work of a man in close-quarters-combat.

Of these footsloggers the most elite are the Coldstream Guards (also called the Republican Guard); ancient and elite, this regiment is the oldest still in-service and has fought in most conflicts from the English Civil War onwards – during which they fought to establish the first Commonwealth of England. In-addition, the Brytish Army also makes heavy use of Dragoons; they are the elite of the Brytish Army and are composed almost entirely of veterans from regular continental conflicts. Though, nominally, trained as infantry they are regularly deployed on horse-back and armed with a XL70 and an automatic pistol; they gallop across and around the battlefield picking off targets and hone their skills at-home hunting animals and rebels across the wasteland.

The Brytish Navy has since shirked its “royal” moniker since the Great War and has absorbed the duties of the Royal Air Force; the core role of the force though remains the same. Lavished with funding, research and manufacturing prospects the Brytish Navy is the most powerful and respected force in the Brytish military. Consisting largely of pre-war surface and submersible vessels, as-well increasingly more post-war constructions, it is truly a force to be reckoned with on the high and coastal seas and responsible for the successful conquests across France’s northern coastline and many more in the future. The Navy prefers to concentrate more on air-defence than offence, though air craft carriers and their compliments often remain the centrepieces of most naval groups. It could very well be the only navy in Europe, or even the world, worthy of being called a “blue-water” navy able to project it’s power – theoretically – anywhere in the world without leaving the Brytish Isles undefended.

A direct continuation of the pre-war United States Government which survived on the Control Station ENCLAVE Oil Rig, the Enclave retreated to the East Coast following the fall of the Rig and the death of President Richardson in 2247. Under President John Henry Eden, the Enclave gradually rebuilt their power within the depths of Raven Rock and the former pre-war air force installation Joint Adams Air Force Base. After 30 years, the Enclave emerged to engage the East Coast Brotherhood of Steel in open warfare over the ruins of the pre-war capital and after a short and bloody conflict, emerged totally victorious.

Upon gaining full control of the Jefferson Memorial Purifier, President Eden ordered the input of the Modified FEV-13 Virus into the water system. The virus, targeted at extreme genetic divergence, wiped the Capital Wasteland and much of the surrounding territory completely clean of heavily mutated life. Most human wastelanders survived however; with only minimal deaths from humans who had more badly mutated genetic structures. The only mutant creatures which were allowed to continue on were captured deathclaws, who the Enclave continues to breed and place into their B.O.W. program.

Following the eradication of mutant lifeforms, the Enclave began the implementation of its progressive rebuilding program. Focusing on the ruins of Washington DC and continuing outward, they have managed to restore some of the wastelands former natural fauna through advanced terraforming techniques designed to be enacted after the war by the pre-war government. Much of Washington DC has been rebuilt and the Enclave has begun full settlement of the surrounding territory.

Not long after rebuilding efforts began and under the command of Colonel Augustus Autumn, the Enclave Armed Forces initiated a surprise assault on the Pitt and captured it from the weak leadership of Werhner. Shocked by the heavily degraded state of the former city of Pittsburg, the Enclave released a second wave of the FEV Virus on the city and cleansed it of Trog and human-based mutation. While much of the city remains deteriorated or uninhabitable, the biological sciences division has made steady progress on improving city conditions. The great steel mills of the Pitt were seized by the Enclave and captured local tribals have been forced to work in them under dubious conditions, constructing the raw resources needed to fuel the Enclave’s rebuilding and war efforts.
Under Eden’s administration, the Enclave has also begun preliminary scouting of the New York area and maintains a very heavily fortified outpost in the Empire State building and some of the smaller surrounding structures. Regular vertibird patrols fly overhead throughout the city constantly scouting and gathering intelligence, however progress in assuming control of the city remains very far from completion. New York has been devolved into a city similar in nature to the Pitt, with various mutant and raider groups inhabiting and fighting over it in the shadow of the dilapidated old skyscraqers. Skirmishes have broken out between these groups and Enclave military forces and high priority targets assaulted by air, however the Enclave has attempted to keep out of fighting in the area for the time being.

A second, but much smaller scouting expedition was also sent via a refurbished pre-war naval vessel to the coastline of Newfoundland under the auspices of the Ecological Research Division. The mission’s directive has been to explore and document fauna in the area and determine the level of mutation and lingering effects caused by the Great War. The expedition remains small, with only a few dozen research and military personnel and operates out of the research vessel E.N.S. New Horizons which maintains a proximity distance from the main shore off the coast of the former city of St. Johns.

Government and Economy:

The Enclave of the United States is nominally a Federal Republic, under the current administration of President John Henry Eden, an advanced sentient AI who resides within Raven Rock. Its top military commander is Colonel Augustus Autumn. With the recent victory in the D.C. area and the official end of the era of national emergency, moves have also been made to fully restore the United States Congress as well as the Supreme Court. Given the nature of the wasteland however, this has been slow going.

The Enclave’s economy has just recently been reignited, as they originally had no need for a full economy while hidden in Raven Rock. It is a heavily capitalist economic structure based upon the pre-war United States model which uses pre-war money as its form of currency. Attempts have been made to begin to create a national banking system again and to begin the formation of various new corporations.

Military: Current Size: One of the smallest but also one of the most technologically advanced, trained, and disciplined militaries out of all the nations. The Enclave armed forces are traditionally rooted upon that of the pre-war U.S. With a few modifications.

Enclave Naval Branch: The naval forces of the Enclave are quite small and have just recently come into being with the refurbishing of several of the pre-war naval vessels left over from the pre-war years which were found heavily damaged, but still floating, in the Washington Naval Yards.
Enclave Air Force:

Made up primarily of the highly versatile VTOL aircraft known as “vertibirds” (which they have the ability to manufacture) the Enclave’s air power has always been a forced to be feared and continues to remain as such. A primary tactic used by the Enclave is strategic “get in/get out” verti-assault missions. Which have been known to be quite efficient and devastating. The Enclave has also begun research into restoring the old fighter planes found within Adams Air Force Base and great progress has been made on this front. They are expected to supplement the Enclave's air-force soon.
Enclave Army:

Small and extremely powerful, the Enclave ground forces consist primarily of AdvancedPower Armored troopers wielding highly advanced weaponry. These ground troopers are usually supplemented by various robotic units as well.

ODI (Office of Defense Intelligence): The military intelligence Agency of the Enclave, based in Adams Air Force Base and currently responsible for conducting operations in the New York area. It is a highly secretive organization who maintains a veil of confidentiality. As per its immense importance to Enclave military endeavors, it has been assigned its own personal military contingent made up primarily of Plasma armed Hellfire Troopers. This special operations division is known as "Special Operations Division Sigma".

REC (Robotic Engineering Core): The engineering core of the Enclave in charge of the development, production, and maintenance of military robots (Mr. Gutsy’s, Sentry bots, robobrains etc.).

Bio-Organic Weaponry Division: Wholly in charge of the Enclave’s continued Deathclaw breeding and domestication program (codename Enforcer Program). The BOW division breeds and controls deathclaws for the purpose of using them in close-combat situations where required.

Ecological Division: The core which conducts scientific research into the ecology of the wasteland and ways in which the effects of the Great War can be reduced or eliminated. Aside from its operations in the immediate area of Enclave territory including Point Lookout, the ED is currently a overseeing a small research vessel off the coast of Newfoundland.

Superweapon: The Bradley-Hercules Orbital Strike Satellite. The Bradley is controlled from Adams Air Force Base and fully stocked with an on-board complement of numerous Skybolt GAM-87 Ballistic Orbital Missiles. It is completely unmanned aside from a few maintenance robots.

Various Minor Technologies (including but not limited to):

Deathclaw mind control, advanced plasma based weaponry, advanced laser based weaponry, advanced power armor models, Hellfire Armor, photonic resonance barriers, duraframe eyebots, mobile defense emplacements, heavy incinerators, and other various equipment and weaponry.

Relationships with other Nations and Plans for the Furture:

The Enclave is inherently neutral to the politics of the wasteland and does not currently favor a group of nations over another in particular. Although they are still technically at war with the ECBOS, who has fled to Florida.

They are more favorable towards high technology factions, and especially those who share their hatred of mutations.
The Enclave wishes to eventually restore the glory of the United States and regain control over as much of its former land as possible, although they recognize that this will be nigh-impossible. They also wish to restore not only the political status quo, but also that of the natural one and want to terra-form the earth back to its former natural beauty.

They are staunchly anti-mutant, and at best will refuse to deal with any faction which is based around mutant freedom or mutant equality. At worst they will become openly hostile to said factions.

West Coast Brotherhood of Steel - (Aldin_Kiris)

History: After being forced out of their home in Lost Hills, the BoS moved to Washington, where they have since begun again. The group settled in Seattle, and reworked the city into a giant military-like base. There they have built themselves up again, taking the various residents of the Pre-War state from a young age and drilling them with the Brotherhood's doctrine and lifestyle. This process has made it's soldiers very elite, and though their numbers are not quite as large as some other nations, they are a force to be reckoned with indeed. Factories have been re-built and are at an operational status, farms have popped up, and fisheries have opened once again due to the growing nation's engineers.

In recent years, the NCR was attacked once again by the Legion. After fierce fighting between the two, the BoS realized the time was perfect for a strike against the aggressors known as the NCR, the very people who pushed them out of their home. Guerrilla operations commenced, and the BoS began to assault the NCR's Northern border. After some fighting, a peace treaty was signed and the fighting stopped. The BoS pulled out all forces from the NCR and have since been biding their time in Washington, eager to see whether the BoS would continue the war, or have peace with the NCR.

Another thing of note recently is the BoS' contact with the Vigil. Through a miscommunication of pure accident, the groups gained contact with one another. After a few conversations, the two realized they had many things in common, and seeing the potential for something great, made an alliance between them.

Military Branches:

Brotherhood Army: The main branch of the military. Consists of Paladins, all knights being trained vigorously from day one to become one. As such, even though the group is somewhat small right now, they are extremely elite and loyal to no one but the Brotherhood's High Council. Main armaments include various Gauss rifles and plasma weaponry. Tesla Cannons have been manufactured for Shock Trooper units, as well as Plasma Casters. Armor is the standard T-51b power armor, with an urban digital pattern on every suit for camouflage. All military forces are trained in using the armor as soon as they are able to fight, which is at a very early age.

Intelligence: Members of the Scribes are usually assigned to this branch. Their job is to root out hostiles within and without the BoS territory, and brutally eliminate them. They also act as a spy operation of sorts, getting information for the main force and such.

Brotherhood Air Force: This is a very small branch, consisting of only pilots, engineers, and Airborne Assault troopers. Weaponry and armor for the Troopers is typical T-51b armor, but streamlined for maximum mobility. Weapons are the same as the Brotherhood army. All Vertibirds are stolen for the NCR, so the Brotherhood does not have many, though they are currently trying to figure out how to manufacture them.

Special Operations: PSICOM

PSICOM operatives are the best of the best the BoS have to offer. They only serve the Chancellor, taking orders from no one but him. They are commonly used as assassins and infiltrators for the most dangerous of missions. Armor is a U.S variant of the Chinese Stealth Armor, reinforced with ballistic mesh and ceramic plating. Weaponry varies from mission to mission, but the most commonly used weapons are silenced sniper rifles, Gauss weaponry, and pulse-based rifles. Operatives do not have a personal life, and are training for combat almost constantly.

Economy: Economy is a standard monetary system, the currency being called "marks" (Was the Brotherhood scrip, but new regime changed it to "reflect a new era.")

Main economic resources are fish, metal, weapons, and farming.

Government: Basically a Monarchy-type of gov. Chancellor is the highest power, and his word is law. No one is to go against him, and if they do they are immediately "disposed" of. There is also a High Council in place, and that helps regulate various things in the Brotherhood society. They also help keep the Chancellor in check should he get to out of control, however slightly that may be.

Representative: Chancellor Aiden Griff

Attire/armaments: The Chancellor wears a hooded jet black Elder's robe with a blood red insignia of the Brotherhood over his heart. He at all times carries a personalized Gauss pistol and a streamlined combat knife, both concealed under the robe.
Appearance: The Chancellor is an elderly man of the age of 45-50. The man has short, snow white hair, and a goatee of the same color. He is of average build, though his face is weathered and shows many signs of age and stress (wrinkles) The most notable feature about the Chancellor are his soul-piercing blue eyes.

Personality: The Chancellor is the very definition of cruel, cold, and calculating. A hard man who rarely shows any emotion whatsoever, he regards life as merely his plaything. He comes off cruel to many, which is accurate, for he shows no mercy to his enemies whatsoever, their cries only fueling the quiet rage inside the man. Even though he is an incredibly cold man, he does however care about his Brotherhood and his allies, possibly the only thing he would ever consider showing mercy to. Though he is a man of few words, he is not afraid to voice his opinion, especially when mutant kind is concerned. Like the rest of the WBoS, he aims to completely destroy all abominations, and is not afraid to use the Brotherhood to do so.

The Khan Empire - (Warlord Ridgers)

The Khans (also referred to as the Great Khans) have been known to be ruthless, strong and merciless, but a recent set of massacres have sent them back from California, to Nevada and all the way to Wyoming, where they finally found peace from their countless enemies. In Wyoming, they started gathering some of the locals at their side, conquering the state from west to east, also owning a small part of their neighbor state, Idaho. At a time, when the Khans were at their greatest, Papa Khan died of age, and a small civil war was waged, but quickly resolved, as those that opposed the rightful heir of the Khans were small in number.

Army: The army is divided into arbans (group of 10 people), zuun (10 arbans, also referred to as company) and myangan (10 zuun/companies also referred to as battalion). Their army mostly has scavenged weapons and such, ranging from melee to pistols, even a few selective heavy weapons, but its rare to stumble upon energy weapons. Their soldiers have developed a specific combat armor stronger than their original leather armor from the times where they lived in Nevada. Some however wear leather armor, those who serve as their light infantry or cavalry. Cavalry is only a nickname for the biker gangs that act as the main force of the Khans, and move across their lands either on special missions or to keep order across a large area.

Government: Resembles a monarchy dictatorship, but is ruled both by the Khan and a council that advise the Khan.

Economy: Most of their income comes from selling chems, both addictive harmful chems and stims and such. They have contacts in the followers that taught many of them, and it has since then been a valuable trade. The roads across Wyoming sometimes have small caravans traveling on them. Those are sometimes drug dealers moving to buy from the Khans in exchange for weapons and ammo, or just simply caps. The Khans pretty much grow their own crops, selling some to the travelers that both are coming to buy drugs and just travel. Everyone must pay a small tax to the Khan.

Tech: Even strong and ruthless, the technological advancement of the Khans goes slow. They currently only have one scientist, a ghoul researcher that they found in the remains of an army airport, where he still serves them in order to research new weapons and items that might serve their empire.

The Many -

The Many a collective will of Humans and Mutants in one society under the benevolent dictatorship of the “Enlightened One”.
The Many history dates way back to the early days of the Midwest Rebellion. A few weeks before the Midwest Rebellion, General Barnaky sent out a 20 man expedition up North to Canada to collect info on the regions, factions, and anything of high regard to the Midwest. Under the Command of Elder Brian North, with 20 of the finest MWBOS men, traveled up North to Canada.

They first arrived to the province of Alberta and scouted the places, collecting info. Though what they came across would be of high importance to them. In an isolated part of Alberta they found an experimental bio organic weapon research lab established by the U.S Military. There they found mutants and abominations even grosser and inhumane to the common eye disgusting them, Though, Elder North was secretly a mutant sympathizer and saw the potentials of a new nation. A collective will of Humans and Mutants coexisting peacefully. Though much of his expedition would disagree. During then, he ordered immediate exploration of the facility, For a week, they explored finding more mutant abomination in cryo tanks and a Modified version of the FEV mixed in with unknown artificial viruses.

3 days before they left, North was walking and fell down the chamber into the Modified FEV vats. He soon then was imbued into the goo into a horrifying abomination even more inhumane than the Master. The expedition without their leader decided to destroy the palace but North would not allow them to. He released the cryo tanks filled with mutant abomination on the 19 man expedition now. They were cut down into pieces and thrown into the Modified FEV were they lost their memories and became something new. They worked alongside with the Enlightened One ad started to spread its influence from the base to the surrounding towns.

Eventually they took control of British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.

The Many Culture and Government and Economy:

Its culture is primary 40% religious hailing the Enlightened One as there god. While most of the other living there have simple well rounded lives and live there because of order.

Its government is a benevolent dictatorship. The Enlightened One has several ministers which handles many others like Defense or Money.

The Holy Military of the Many

Army:

The Army is the largest part of the military. Using both mutants and humans together make them a fearsome foe.

Airforce:

The Airforce is a medium sized branch consisted of Ghoul and Human pilots piloting US 1950 Jet airplanes.
Navy:

The Navy is smaller only a brown water navy but can use expansion. The Navy consists of Scavenged boats with improvised arty and guns to WW2 era battleships.

Aurodium Hegemony - (Bosmight342)

When the Nuclear Missiles dropped upon Canada, most where upon British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario (Which was the worst hit), Quebec, and Newfoundland. Unlike Northern Canada, largely rural was unaffected with the exception of missiles hitting Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories, and Whitehorse in the Yukon. Northern Canada was much safer and less mutated and United States Northern Canada Command kept order for duration for about a month. They used a council of Military officers and designated U.S government officials to keep order. From October 23 to October 31st, the United States Northern Canada Command kept a tight authoritarian order. Many Canadians held grudges against the U.S Military and their families and their actions against them but just were contempt with the order and actually liked it. The total population of all combined territories was 120,021 giving a testament of how many survived. Soon many Northern Canada survivors soon forget all about the Nuclear War and thought that they could survive and bring back order but then……

But without contact from the U.S Military and Government, the North disintegrated into chaos. The United States Military up North was the smallest only having about 20,000 up there. Canadian Revolutionaries still fought an ongoing war against the U.S Military. Gangs and Raiders soon then started to pillage towns. Prisoners broke out of their camps and also pillaged and raided. United States Northern Canada Command fought hard against them to keep order but the numbers were overwhelming from the raiders, mainly them and 1,000 last surviving retreated to Banks Island and Victoria Island which was the most rural and BI had a population of 136 (Consisting of U.S Chemical Corps units and scientist) and VI which had a population of 1,875 with small military bases and small villages. VI and BI was much more safer and soon and allowed the remnants of the United States Northern Canada Command to form the United States Victoria Island and Banks Island Command (UNVIBIC). They launched sea mines from BI and VI onto the waters, and putted up large signs saying “United States Mined waters, do not attempt to cross” as this would bar travelers from heading to their location and finding them. From there they stayed out of Yukon, Northwest Territories, Baffin Island, Southampton Island, and Nunavut. Soon UNIVIBIC formed a large military society, which its elements would be part of the Aurodium Hegemony in the future.

For an amount of 53 years, the areas the U.S used to control were basically survivalist cities, towns, and villages, all trying to survive. From UNVIBIC Unmanned Drones saw footage of raiders attacking towns and survivalist cities fighting back every day to survive. UNIVIBIC saw how order disintegrated and the chaos and went to Lieutenant Colonel Doctor William J. Hargden with the request of releasing the several last canisters of in the “Banks Bio Research Facility” which was Anthrax, Tularemia, Ebola, and Hantavirus. On the night of November 24 2100, 10 Stealthed C-17 Globemaster III flew throughout the territories as Chemical Corp Soldiers watched from the cargo bay of the plane, seeing the gaseous viruses engulf the night sky. UNVIBIC knew what it had to do and many felt remorse and sadness but carried on as this would help those areas to be less volatile even if it meant genocide.

With those mixes of virus disintegrated the 100, 000 combined population territories to only to a total of 50,000. Some mutated to what the near human like species, having human qualities but with different new qualities. From UNVIBIC agents, they reported the areas they used to control less volatile and much safer but still hostile. Soon new objectives from UNVIBIC followed.

The agents sent out were ordered to contact Mercenary Groups, towns and to start diplomacy with them in the NWT, SI, Nunavut, Yukon, and Baffin Island. These agents talked about UNVIBIC and how they were the last possible surviving organized U.S Military Command and how they wished to bring back order and civilization. This was a directive under UNVIBIC. Soon many towns joined them and Merc group’s one of them, “Aurodium Sword” where the name of the Aurodium Hegemony would follow. Though many soon questioned UNVIBIC, some saying them spreaded the virus but they only had claims and superstitions from tribes and had no evidence.

With this, UNVIBIC gathered more and more towns and groups secretly in the NWT and SHI while waiting for the right time. Aurodium Sword was the largest Merc group in the NWT and would prove to be pivotal in the creation of the “Aurodium Hegemony”. Aurodium Sword was a large Merc Group from the U.S Military deserters of the U.S Special Force group, “Shadow Company”. They were the main protectors of the NWT and there service was highly valued. They would prove pivotal.

On 2119, planning began for Operation Northern Storm, in warfare a theater operation which would be the largest 5th Operation in all of U.S Military Operations and which would lastly end the United States Military History. On 2120, Operation Northern Storm was launched when 10,000 UNVIBIC Marines and Army troops landed on NWT. SH was immediately put under control of the city state of Coral Harbour. UNVIBIC Drones and F-4 Phantoms pummeled raider towns, bases. AH-64 Cobras assisted city states militias and Merc Groups in the eradication of the raiders that plagued Northern Canada so long. The policy “No mercy to the enemy” would apply to the Aurodium Hegemony later on.

On 2122 after 2 years of fighting, most of the raiders surrendered, flee to the south, though most where killed. Victory ensued and the people of Northern Canada celebrated as order has finally came but the Hegemony could not be created so quickly.

The small Merc groups and city states integrated with UNVIBIC but large ones such as Aurodium Sword and Coral Harbor to name a few did not. Relative peace ensued and UNVIBIC waited for the right and perfect time when the city states had substantial stable society.

On 2130 is when the true break began when UNVIBIC with Aurodium Sword called upon the many city states and large Merc groups for a meeting at Yellowkinife. They discussed many topics of Northern Canada but were when they discussed topic of the formation of the Aurodium Hegemony. Many city states saw the potential and Merc groups for the creation of a new nation based on order and law. On the dawn of Friday morning after much discussed topics was announced all over on the radios. Many people were excited and proud to be of a new nation “Aurodium Hegemony” and there first leader was Robert Baker or known as “Aurodium the First” the General and leader of UNVIBIC.

From 2130 and onward the Aurodium Hegemony consolidated its power, not expanding but developing Northern Canada from rural territories to true large cities. The first Army and Navy of the Aurodium Hegemony were a mix of militia vessels and troops with highly trained Mercs vessels and troops. The Air force was the smaller component only having a small amount of warplanes, drones and helicopters which was part of the Army for a while. From 2130 to 2200, building projects began and factories. Soon the society and infrastructure of Northern Canada was unlike any other with large rural North Canada turned into bristling provinces. The Northwest Territories was renamed to “Aurodium”. It’s Navies, Army, and Airforce was large and grand and mighty to take over all of Canada. Technologies flourished in the Hegemony, and order and prosperity was common. The people lived a good and peaceful life.

But then, war down south erupted on 2230. The Many and MLA attacked the MWBOS. Word spreaded throughout military command and the Many and MLA tried to garner the AH to support them but Aurodium the Brave (3rd Aurodium), did not commit but sent several military advisors to document the war. It was interesting when a MWBOS Squad came across a guarded AH Advisor squad and conversed. Soon, that MWBOS squad would survive and tell info to General Barnaky and tales of a large nation up North with a Grand Military and society.

From then on, the AH has never been in any wars yet and are a sleeping giant, waiting for the right time. The Summit was announced and Aurodium the Indomitable (4th Aurodium) sends of his aide to go to this summit.

Aurodium Hegemony Government Culture and Economy:

The Hegemony Government is an constituitional monarchy democracy but with much larger changes. The one ruler is the Aurodium and with a cabinet of 10 Ministers who oversee much other operations. During the creation of the Hegemony, the Hegemony Commandments were established, a 100 rule code of law that the A.H live by. There are ministries, councils, commissions, departments, offices, and cabinets for everything.

Culture in the Aurodium Hegemony is primarily built upon a social caste and the philosophy known as the “The Philosophy of the Citizens” which details about actions and how to act in the Hegemony, established.

The economy of the Aurodium Hegemony is mixed more so. The main industries are Mining, Fishing, Manufacturing, and Farming. Energy production comes from 10% Wind Power, 40% Biomass, 20% Solar Power, and 30% from Hydrodams. Biomass Energy is also used as a fuel source. Biomass Energy is the 2nd largest fuel source. Cars in the A.H are common site as they started to appear on the road on 2250. The Hegemony few large states run corporations the main one Aurodium Corporation. Most other busness like shops or midsized businesses are kept alone though can enter a contract with the Hegemony to take over there business in exchange for more money and a powerful position.

Religion of the Hegemony:

The Hegemony has many religions but there are 2 main religions. Transidism and Christianity (Protestant and Roman Catholic). Among them, there are smaller religions like Judaism, Buddhism and Islam.

Transidims roots dates back to many tribes and newly formed independent religions from Northern Canada. Many had their own gods with their own history. When the Hegemony was formed, these religions became a part of the Hegemony. Transidism was not formed yet but would be in eventual time. Around 2252 a priest of Dowlas gathered a conglomeration of all the other priest of the many other religions, except Christianity, Islam, Buddhism and Judaism. He spoke of the combination of all of the small religions into one, which would mean the gods would be merged together. It took a while for an answer but many agreed and on that day Transidism was formed. It soon bore a resemblance of Greek Mythology as there was many gods. The followers of the smaller religions that formed became a part of Transidims and now rivaled in terms of Christianity. It became a large part of the Hegemony.

As for God, they believe that God created the Universe but left them to their own. It said that the creations of the other gods were other Humans who achieved a lot in the early life and ascended when they died. Unlike God, he has no qulams with Science. Many beleive that God created Humans to be the next gods for the other races in the future.

In the Hegemony there are many shrines located throughout the Hegemony.

There are 10 gods or Divines of Transidism but there numerous other Chthonic Deities, personified spirits and others. Each god has a dark side when angered at will be the reverse of their ideals:

Agenia:

The Goddess of Order and Law, Custom, and Judger of the Deceased. Depicted as a woman in robes covering her whole body with only her blue eyes showing, with a sword and a scale. When angered, she would represent Anarchism, and lawlessness and would be seen as beautiful figure, with scars all over the body with dark blades.

Ammuteseba:

God of War. He is highly worshipped in the Military. Depicted as an armored man, with a red beaming katana. When angered, will smite 1000 men of the Military with death for 7 days.

Eslesia:

Goddess of Hope, Dawn of the Sun, and Purity. Depicted as a beautiful woman in white robes. When angered is represent Hopelessness, Dawn of the Black Moon for a month, and Impure. Wears black robes, with a staff of the black moon, and black pure eyes.

Vaerminas:

Goddess of Memory, Time, fate, Scrying, and Dreams. Can change from Human to fog and Depicted as a white fog, or a woman with white pure eyes. When angered, would cause unbreakable nightmares that could drive a man crazy. Would be a dark fog, or a woman with dark eyes. It is said that Coalescence the 5th could be a reincarnation of Vaerminas.

Aidos:

God of Wisdom, Battle Strategy and Bravery. Represented as a man in formal battle uniform with a book. When angered, he is the God of Battle Strategy misfortune, less intelligence and reverse of bravery. Depicted as dark ethereal ghost with a tri shaped mask. Aurodium the 4th is said to be a reincarnation of
Aidos.

Gaden:

God of Agriculture, Horticulture and Grain of Harvest. Looks like a man with robes and a circlet. When angered, would cause crop failures.

Azathoth:

God of the Underworld and ruler of it. He already represent the negative side but only shows it when it’s necessary. Depicted as a man in black robes.

Meridia:

Goddess of Science, and Medicine. Seen as a young woman with mechanical goggles, and a contempt face. When angered, would cause health failures and scientific disasters.

Namira:

Goddess of Love. Depicted as a beautiful woman. When angered, would cause STD’s (LOL), breakups infidelity.

Hegemony Armed Forces or His Aurodium Armed Forces or Armed Forces of the Hegemony:

The Hegemony Armed Forces branches are all on a large wide scale. The military structure is that similar to the elements of the U.S Armed Forces. HAF Weapons, Vehicles, equipment’s, etc all made by Aurodium Corporation and several other large corporation firms.

Royal Aurodium Army:

The R.A.A is a large branch of the Hegemony Armed Forces. The Army is large all round force of the H.A.F. With its precursor being UNVIBIC, A.S and many other Mercenary Groups gained its tactics and training from them. The R.A.A has numerous Special Forces units among them the “Crusaders”, a large rapid response and shock force for the R.A.A. One of the main infantry weapons as an example would be the ACA-67 or the light tank the ACV-89.

Royal Aurodium Navy and Royal Aurodium Marines:

The R.A.N is large naval branch of the Hegemony. Their precursors were city states settlements near the seas. The early R.A.N Navy was made up of largely makeshift PT Boats and tug boats armed with small cannons and machine guns and a few true militarized U.S Naval Destroyers from UNVIBIC. Through the years, more vessels actually made for warfare continue and by 2260 all vessels were truly built for warfare such as the Yukon Class Destroyer of the Aurodium Class Carrier or the Hargden Class Science Vessel.

The R.A.M is also the amphibious warfare branch though large, it is the smallest, and it uses similar weaponry just like the R.A.A.

Royal Aurodium Airforce:

The R.A.A.F is a large air power branch of the Hegemony. Early on the R.A.A.F was primarily compromised of Airplanes built from WW2 U.S Military Aircraft like the P-51D Mustang. During that time 90% of the Airforce was compromised of WW2 US Aircraft and 10% Jet planes. Through the years, it was upgraded and by 2260 all warplanes were jet power. There main jet right now is the ACFJ- 60 Eagle multi role warplane and there heavy bomber is the ACFB-60 Grace Note, a name given when a natural occurrence when the bombs drops a grace note is hit.

Bureau of Hegemony Intelligence and Hegemony Security Bureau:

The BHI is the Intelligence branch of the Hegemony under the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The BHI is functioned under a rank system as one agent is given this assignment while others are given a different set. They are just like your Intelligence Berieus, cold cunning, ruthless and experts in the arts of spying just like MI6 and the CIA.

The H.S.B is basically the secret police arm of the Hegemony to dispel internal threats report anything of treason and subterfuge.

The Flag of the Hegemony colors are black true cyan and red. Black represents the determination of the country, determined for a mutant free world and a orderly Earth. True Cyan represents peace, and prosperity. Lastly red represents the Hegemonies ferocity, hardened will, blood, and most of all what they have done to achive and make this great nation(and basically the Hegemony Military).

The 7 stars represents the Seven Provinces of the Hegemony. Yukon, Northwest Territories or now called Aurodia, Nunavut, Baffin Island, Amundsen Island, Victoria Island, and the Southampton Islands with a few others attached to it.

The Eagle represents the rising. From the small group of Official US Military Commands with small towns and merc groups to a large technological power.

The Wolf represents ferocity and also purity to some.

Lastly, the red triangle with the 3 circles and dots is to be interpreted by all other citizens and other nations. Yet as some looked upon it, they felt like something was watching them as they're gods themselves.

Opinion on Mutants

The Hegemony does not like mutants though there are some exceptions.

Near Humans are treated equally as Pure Humans. Ghouls are treated equally also but is a small group only numbering in few but are revered for living prolonged amounts of times, there history and past living in Canada or the U.S. The Ghoul pop in Canada was as large as the humans but were more affected when UNVIBIC launched the gases as there body could not tolerate those many and died quickly and its pop from Canada dropped to small. All of the few Ghouls lived before the war. Many were former Canadian Revolutuinaries or former U.S Military and simple civillians just trying to survive.
While that the Hegemony intends to keep this within but most likely when nations open up borders this will get out.

When the Hegemony encountered the Many, they were disgusted by the Super Mutatns and Centaurs. They also hated the MLA with there pro mutant/human doctrine and denounced both of them. Ghouls in the Hegemony do not care about them as the MLA and the Many are restricted from entering into Hegemony territory.

While that, the Hegemony inteneds to state there opposition to Mutants(except Ghouls).

New England Commonwealth-History

Originally one of the thirteen commonwealths of the pre-war United States of America, the New England Commonwealth was comprised of six states; these being Vermont, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. When the Great War reached it's Earth-shattering climix in 2077, the involved states were prepared. Soon after the bombs dropped, the staff of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology went straight to work. They soon produced space-age technology and even androids to help in the re-establishment of government within the Commonwealth's borders, using these such machines to restore clean water sources, government facilities, and other various locations of interest. They soon formed a rag-tag governing body and state militia, using weapons and supplies found from old National Guard installations to arm their troops. Eventually they retook the entire Commonwealth, forging a strong government, military, and people. Reconstruction of the NEC's territory is now coming to a close after a little more than a decade of restoration efforts.

New England Commonwealth- Economy and Government

The NEC's economy is held together mostly by the steel production industry, with arms manufacturing coming in at a close second. Agricultural businesses can only be found deep in the countryside of the Commonwealth, where strange fruits known as the "Viad" are abundant and farmed for their juices.

The government of the NEC can mostly be considered an Authoritarian Democracy, as there is a rather large federal police unit that ensures the preservation of laws within the state, as well as a modified version of the National Guard that assists in defending the nation if it so happens that they are invaded. Similar to the pre-war US Government, the Commonwealth government consists of three branches; the Legislative branch (House of Representatives & Senate), the Judicial Branch (Supreme & Federal Courts), and the Executive Branch (The President and his administration/cabinet.). Aside from that, the people are allowed many rights but are still subject to frequent contraband sweeps, identity checks, and home condition inspections. Society is fairly quaint, and education is both public and private.

New England Commonwealth - Military

The NEC's military is known to be very disciplined and well trained, taught to show little to no remorse to their enemies in times of war. The military consists of the following branches:

Army/Army National Guard- Uniforms: Woodland Camo fatigues, Black Boots, heavily armored with black vests, black knee pad/shoulder pad/elbow pads, and black kevlar helmets. Weapons: R91 Assault Rifles, 10mm Pistol (Due to most military equipment coming from old NG bases.)
Air Force/Air National Guard- Uniforms: Olive Drab jumpsuits, various helmets for different pilots, and Black boots

History

Before the New Confederacy was formed there were many countries in the Deep South. The most powerful of these were the Great Lanta which ruled most of Georgia, The united tribes of Mississippi, The Carolina Empire, and the Republic of Alabama. The others were Louisiana and the tribes in Tennessee and Kentucky. To understand the New Confederacy you must first know about these nations
The Great Lanta

The Great Lanta was formed when the city of Ata-Lanta was finally united by Tobias McMillan, in 2277. He did this by conquering and uniting the various raider groups inside the city. This gave him a large and powerful army which he used to conquer tribes and settlements around him. This struck fear into the hearts of many and soon they surrendered to him. He used this to rebuild parts of Ata-Lanta and Georgia, the latter of which was now called the Great Lanta. He soon discovered of three other countries as powerful as him and sent diplomats to their countries to forge alliances with them. By 2281 the Great Lanta had an alliance with the United Tribes of Mississippi, The Alabama Republic, and the Carolina Empire. They had such great relations that when they received word that they were surrounded by technologically superior nations they held a meeting in Alabama. Here they signed a Constitution which let it be known that they had become one nation.

The Carolina Empire

The Carolina Empire was formed by a group called the Loyal Soldiers of Carolina, conquered a small port. Here they started to conduct raids on any boat that sailed down the coast of Carolina. Once they captured a boat that was filled with all kinds of pre war weapons and combat armor, at the lose of three cargo ships, many people started to join them. Soon half of South Carolina joined them, the other half was conquered. Their leader renamed this group the Carolina Empire. In 2278, they had built many plantations and weapon manufacturing factories. Soon the people of North Carolina flocked to the south to gain protection from many raiders in the north. Due to the influx of citizens South Carolina invaded North Carolina and conquered it in a one month. The Carolinas had finally been united once again. They built many more plantations and towns and soon they came in contact with the Great Lanta. They forged an alliance and soon they formed a nation with the other Southern countries, except the Florida Brotherhood of Steel.
The Republic of Alabama

The Republic of Alabama was formed when the many City States of Alabama joined together at a conference in Birmingham, due to many attacks from raiders, were they signed a document that joined their towns and plantations under one government. Soon they persuaded many raiders and tribes to join them, by completely destroying the largest group of raider at the Battle of Wheeler Lake . Soon they formed a strong agricultural society, due to the decrease in raider attacks. Many mutants moved here due to the destruction of Louisiana and peacefully joined the society. Most mutants became soldiers for the various plantations around Alabama, and some ghouls used their knowledge of the pre war world to advance their position in society. The Republic of Alabama soon became one of the first countries to accept mutants into their society. The Republic even began to trade their crops to the FBoS for weapons and tech. Due to their great living conditions people and mutants from Louisiana, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Kentucky migrated here. They soon came into contact with the other Southern countries and began a new nation.

The United Tribes of Mississippi

The increasing aggression of their neighbors in Louisiana, Kentucky, Arkansas and Tennessee, forced the various tribes of Mississippi to unite and fight their foes. Once they unified they began an aggressive campaign against their neighbors, and fought a bloody war with them for one year. Neither of them had the upper hand until the leader of the Louisiana forces was assassinated by one of the tribals in Mississippi. This struck fear into the hearts of the Louisiana soldiers who began a retreat. Once they split from the Arkansas forces, they were quickly slaughtered at the battle of Natchez in 2267. The Soldiers of Tennessee were the next to fall when they were cut off from their supply lines. Desperate their general led them into an ambush were they were quickly defeated. The forces of Arkansas quickly retreated after the deafet of Tennessee and Louisiana, the tribes of Mississippi were finally free. Due to the knowledge of their neighbors in Alabama they began to farm and soon their agriculture matched that of Alabama. They began relations with Louisiana and even though they were once enemies trade and relations between the two nations improved greatly, and when the MWBoS conquered Louisiana, the people of Louisiana migrated to lands in Mississippi. The Mississippians even use the people of Louisianan’s knowledge of the land to spy on the MWBoS and hunt gators, whose hides are sold for a very high price. Soon they were contacted by the other powers in the South and the New Confederacy was formed.

The New Confederacy

The first president of the New Confederacy, Arnold Davis built many railroads throughout their lands and many more farms were built. The New Confederacy had become one of the strongest agriculture in the world. The army and the navy were improved upon and the New Confederate Air Force was established. Soon Tennessee and Kentucky joined the New Confederacy. The New Confederacy soon became a stable nation, but due to their neighbors they believe this will not last long unless they get aid from others.

Economy

Most of their economy is fueled by agriculture. Their industries mainly support the rail roads and the military. They also use their navy to pirate ships foor anything that is of some value, most ships that are pirated are not affiliated with any nation.

Military

The New Confederate Army

The army is made up of six different divisions which are: The Mississippi division, The Carolina Division, The Alabama Division, The Great Lanta Division, The Gator Hunters, and The Mutant Brigade. The New Confederate Army’s uniform is a cotton, grey suit. They usually were armor over it.

The Mississippi Division is made up of former tribals. They are very good at ambushes and guerilla warfare, even the most powerful army would have trouble fighting them on their own turf. They are mostly equipped with rifled weapons and are lightly armored.

The Alabama Division is heavily equipped and have access to a large number, by their standards, of howitzers. They usually do not were armor since they do not fight in close quarters. They also have some tanks and vehicles.

The Carolina Division is the best equipped out of all the groups but also the smallest. They usually were combat armor and carry around heavy weapons like LMGs. They are highly trained and each soldier can hold their own against a dozen raiders.

The Great Lanta Division is the largest of the divisions. It uses small arms usually but wears metal armor. They are very good at attacking bases but are not as good at holding them.

The Gator Hunters is a small unit, that specializes in close quarters combat. They are very good at ambushing people and are very strong, due to hunting the mutated gators of Louisiana and Mississippi. They usually carry melee weapons and wear gator hides.

The Mutant Brigade is made up of Super mutants. They are heavily equipped usually wearing heavy armor and carrying around large guns. They are very fierce fighters and will do everything they can to defeat their enemies.

The New Confederate Navy

Most of the navy is made up of salvaged cargo ships and Pt boats although there is a small number of battleships. The navy is very good at pirating and has bases in the Caribbean. They provide a large source of income to the Carolinas and other port cities in the New Confederacy.

The New Confederate Air Force

The Air force is very small since it was just formed, but the pilots are very good at their jobs. Most of them are world war two planes like the p-51 Mustang and the b-17 Flying Fortress. Most Plantation owners however have their own small air force.

The Presidential Guard

The Best of the New Confederate military. They wear suits of T-51b power armor and carry around the best weaponry. Their only job is to protect the President.

The New Confederate Police Force

Most of the Police force carry around small arms and wear grey, cotton uniforms. They keep order in the civilian areas of the New Confederacy.

The New Confederate Agency

The eyes and ears of the New Confederacy, they are basically spies and assassin’s who handle the more delicate jobs of the New Confederacy. They also have contacts in many raider and criminal groups in the south.

Midwest Brotherhood of Steel - (Magnus the Red)

The MWBOS, the name strikes fear into any who have heard of it, its behemoths and soldiers march in silent fashion, its inquisitors rooting out the enemy, the current chapter of the Midwestern Brotherhood was formed when Barnaky joined with the calculator, Legions of robots were his to command, to purge the mutant scum and ensure that a world where humanity ruled supreme was his tduty to create, Barnaky's first act was to secure his lands, well, most of you know the Barnaky ending of tactics, I'll jumpstart from after tactics anyway.

With his nation Barnaky surprised many, he formed the borders east and west then marched south, to secure new orleans, then defenses were built, in the hundred odd years since tactics a lot has happened, roads have been cleaned, cities rebuilt, mutants exterminated, the esteemed Paladin Lord Peregrine second to Barnaky commands the human elements of the military and the defenses, the recently annexed territory of Montana is still a frontier but the rest are heavily patrolled, a chivalric scene has formed in the Midwest, civillians go about their lives, knights patrol the cities and countryside, in the more rough areas robots are deployed, Chicago is the Human Capital of the Midwestern Brotherhood, its spires and cathedrals are the pinnacle of the Midewstern Brotherhoods Stonemasons, Vault 0 however is a fortress, Hellions regulary fly over, the Famed Barnaky's Legion guard the inner sanctums utilising Laser Lances and Boltguns.

The outer courtyards of Vault 0 are patrolled by the entire force of behemoths and legions of Humanoid Robots with Pacification Robots at regular points, a high 10 feet wall surrounds the complex, special fields have been developed for in the event of an attack that EMPs are rendered useless against this most sacred of places.

MWBOS Government and Economy:

Barnaky in charge, Peregrine in charge of the military Inquisitors etc. the structure usually used but with Lord Barnaky rather than a council of elders to make the decisions, Credits and units are the currnecy, one hundred units make a credit.

The Robotics Corps are the largest of the forces in a system of battle it will go like this:

Hover Robots are utilised in groups of three to scout forward and eliminate any light resistance, often taking out machine-gun positions, once data has been collected then the scurry robots will emerge from the ground in overwhelming numbers, crawling over well laid positions to cut down the enemy, the hover robots for where resistance is stout, then the security robots are sent in as cannon fodder in lines, columns or whatever takes the commanders fancy, they will advance and fire, in sieges they are usually seen preparing for open ground annexation where there skills are utilised best, tank track robots are paired with them always a deadly combination, loadlifter robots are the leaders of the tank track robots and humanoid robots for the security robots, in a main battle very rarely seen any more Humanoid robots will be deployed with laser rifles, led by humanoid brain robots, pacification robots are often the heavy support of these units, usually that is all that is needed, but, and Barnaky Forbid, the Behemoth Robots are seen, it usually signifies a crusade, the behemoths command entire Legions in the name of barnaky only a thousand have been built each controlled by barnaky and the calculator each armoured and upgraded to the maximum, all are equipped with artillery cannons on their backs now, machine guns utilised for softer targets, they are the heart of the army and as any MLA will tell you, you see one, run.

The Human Corps:

The Inquisition:

commanded by a Chief Inquisitor they oversee that loyalty is kept, cowardice punished and bravery rewarded, a mix of priest and Commisar, Trainees are teamed up with Initiates and sent into battle, should a man retreat they are called to use their 10mm pistol to end that cowards life to inspire and threaten the others forward, for what good is a coward in the brotherhood? they then become Apprentices learning from an inquisitor they train in the secretive ways to become inquisitors, then come the inquisitors these are those who are feared there job is best left unexplained, then come the cardinals who oversee a sect of inquisitors usually a city or region, then the patriarchs come commanding pre-war state areas and finally the Cheif Inquisitor no fancy name is needed for if you see him or her, you're either a dead man, soon to be, or very lucky.

MWBOS Flying Corps:

Around 100 hellions ranks are Airman-Pilot-Flight Captain-Wing Officers and finally Flight Leader.

MWBOS Army:

the structure has remained the same the General is Barnaky, initiates are tried in blood, those that survive rise in rank through various trials to become a knight, finally a true soldier of the brotherhood, armed with a laser rifle and admittedly T-45D power Armour, at senior knight they are given T-51B power armour, then once the rank of paladin is reached Midwestern Power Armour, armour becomes customised finally a new strain of armour called Aegis is given to Paladin-Commanders these bulky suits are surpassed by Paladin-Lord Peregrines awe-inspiring Artificier Armour a jet black armour with silver highlights, for gold is the colour of Barnaky.

MWBOS Navy:

a relatively new Sect, the MWBNS Barnaky Leads the fleet a battleship the only one in the fleet but Admiral Winter Aspires for more, the fleet consists of:
1 Aircraft- Undergoing Rebuilding soon to be the first in MWBOS history once finished.
2 Battleships- one is near completion the other is the current flagship
numerous patrol vessels, destroyers, frigates and cruisers have yet to be built but are on the agenda to be built.

Caesar's Legion - (Padawan228)

Name: The Bull's Legion

History: Caesar knew failure would not be tolerated at the Hoover Dam for a second time so just like Graham, Lanius was killed in the Grand Canyon (But this time he was shot multiple times to ensure death). But this also showed that the Legion was weakening and they needed change. That change was a man named simply, Bull, he wanted to use technology and medicine to solidify power. The Legion began their campaign to invade Nevada and the NCR. He climbed his way up the ranks and killed the new Legate in his sleep so that he would become second in command. After the Legion finally got out of Nevada, Caesar Edward Sallow needed help but couldn't get it because Bull tortured him with the cold shoulder. Without the Courier's help Caesar eventually passed away because of his tumor and Bull became the new Caesar. The Legion began to flourish because of Bull, farms started, cities were watched over, the new rank of medic was a great honor, guns were used more and soon after higher officers received energy weapons, factories were built to produce more weapons and metal to create stronger defense, they began expanding farther east but within limitation unlike the NCR, and the Legion became fully independent and some would even say xenophobic.

Bull became greatly respected, even better than Edward Sallow, Lanius, and Graham combined. Instead of focusing on land that they couldn't get they focused on land that they could get which led to less casualties. Bull found some of Edward's old journals from when he was in the Followers and used some of those to create hospitals in Legion cities. Bull had a son named Bull II and that began the line of the Bull Legacy, Bull also changed the title from Caesar's Legion to Bull's Legion. Eventually they realized how many valuable resources could be found underground so they began mines to collect those goods. After those goods were collected they were sent to factories to become refined into better materials which would be used to restore Pre-War machines, create weaponry, or build up the border's defense. One last thing to be mentioned is that women are now respected since one of the Bulls was a woman and she helped them get spots in the military and added The Matriarch as a position in the government.

Government: Semi-Monarchy, Semi-Militarism, Semi-Council.

The Caesar (Or Bull): The Caesar is the leader of the Bull's Legion at the current time. He, and in rare cases she, is responsible for all mistakes and good things that happen in the Legion. The Caesar comes from the line of the Bull family but if there are no available Bulls then the three Legates may choose a new one, this has not happened yet. If a Caesar fails he or she will be killed by the three Legates and the next in line, no matter how old or young, will take place.
The Matriarch: The Matriarch is responsible for bringing the Caesar a child. The Matriarch, however, can take over if there is no child and the current Caesar dies. The Matriarch is chosen by the Caesar but he must win an unarmed fight against her in order for her to agree to hail a child.

The Legates: There are three Legates who act as the Caesar's council. The three ranks are The General, The Politician, and The Negotiator. If the Caesar cannot make a decision he summons the Legates and has them decide, The General and The Politician do not usually see eye-to-eye which is why there is the rank of The Negotiator (Or the Tie-Breaker).

The General: The General is responsible for leading the military in battle, though they are usually just conquests. The General is also One of the Three council members.

The Politician: The Politician is responsible for selecting members in the Government. They are also responsible for foreign affairs and forming alliances. The Politican is also the Second of Three Council Members.

The Negotiator: The Negotiator's opinion is always for the best. This is the only Legate that accepts women as part of it. When The General and The Politician do not see eye-to-eye The Negotiator is the tie breaking vote. The Negotiator is also the Third of Three Council Members.
There are other ranks like diplomats and mayors but they aren't as important as the five ranks above.

Economy: The Legion was in bad shape when the First Bull took over. But because of him they began to flourish to a normal economy. The Legion has many mines and factories and just enough people to run them. There have been good and bad times but they tend to stay at normal for their economy.

Military:

The Stampede: The Stampede is the basic ground force that consists of troopers and land vehicles. The ranking is like the basic Legion but now the Engineer (Or vehicle medic) and the Medic have been added to the ranking, they are equal in rank and just above a Decanus. They now have more guns then just cowboy repeaters and brush guns. They use something along the lines of Marksman Carbines. The Gravis is also a new soldier that basically uses heavy weaponry like Missile Launchers, Gatling Lasers, Miniguns, and Plasma Casters, they also wear heavier armor that looks like Hellfire Power Armor (But isn't Power Armor) and they have two horns that stick out of the sides.

The Aeronauts: The Aeronauts use Pre-War bombers as a means of attack. However two are set aside for The Caesar and The Legates. They hit and run capitals and either use napalm or bombs.

The Hydronauts: The Hydronauts use Pre-War Carriers and Submarines. They control an area of the Gulf of Mexico and the Mississippi River.

United Mexican Democracy - (Fisheye98)

Name: United Mexican Democracy (UMD).

After the apocalypse Mexico divided into a horde of small factions and raider groups. For years on end city states waged war over land, wealth, and glory. Raiders were a common sight in Mexico, organizing themselves into nomadic groups that raided things as they continued on their way. Mexico was, for all intents and purposes, a [censored] hole. Finally in 2101 the city state of Mexico City gathered together surrounding surrounding city states and forms "The Union". The Union is put together by Javier Peviar, now known simply as "The Architect" and includes many northern Mexican city states. Javier Peviar formed a council of previous City State leaders and linked the government closely with the church. All of the men unite under one goal, to make Mexico one again. By 2126 the Union started their conquest against the southern city states. With the city states occupied with themselves, still fighting over land and wealth, the Union washed over them one by one, like waves over pebbles.

Soon enough the Union had won their conquest and earned their goal, creating a united Mexico. The last mile of Mexican land was taken in 2148, all opposition had either given in to the growing beast or was destroyed. Now an old man, Peviar decided to launch a time of peace and stop expansion at the old borders. The great leader died in 2151 and was mourned by the entirety of the country. Leaderless the council members looked to themselves for leadership, electing a new leader, Raphael Doring. Raphael Doring immediately started to change the nation that Peviar had built. The man broke down the old government and formed a Democracy, renaming the Union to the United Mexican Democracy, or more simply the UMD.

Doring's rein was one of rebuilding. The man enforced heavy taxes and made Mexico a male dominant country, where the male head of the family was able to sell his wife (sometimes more than one) and children into slavery to the government as tax payment or trade them for money. Doring also severed connections with the church, making sure church and state were far apart. Doring enforced heavy taxes to fuel rebuilding projects and border defense, making him a largely disliked leader. In 2169 Doring was assassinated by a group of rebels who wanted to return Mexico to it's old laws established by Perviar.

After Doring's death Mexico faced a turbulent time. The rebels demanded that one of theirs was put in charge while the other politicians wanted to hold a vote to get the leader. After two years of fighting both in politics and the battlefield the two sides came to an agreement, the rebels would establish a political party and would get spots for their own in politics. In 2171 a leader was elected, President Michael Vichaelo. Michael stabilized the UMD, getting the two parties to settle in to an uneasy stability.

Things continued without much incident for more than one hundred years. Mexico built up heavy border defense on the Rio Grande and it's southern borders. The military grew from a simple army to include both a navy and air force. No Union (political party that arose from the rebellion) presidents were ever elected and no changes were made to Mexico's "eye for an eye" legal system. Mexico faced it's first real foreign contact in the 2280's contact with a slaver nation clad in skirts and bearing swords who called themselves "Caesar's Legion".

The Legion sent many slave raids across the Rio Grande into Mexico, abducting UMD citizens and pillaging villages. This continues for years without the UMD realizing it was anything other than small slaver groups. However, in 2288, the UMD decided to investigate further, sending "Mist Walkers" into Legion held territory. The news they returned with was astounding to the current President, Hosea Sandingo, who received tales of a Roman-like nation. Hosea kept a close eye on the Legion, permanently stationing Mist Walkers in their land and receiving regular reports on the Legion's status. The UMD waited patiently to strike but when they did, they struck with allies at their sides.

When the Legion went to war with the NCR the UMD decided it was a great time to attack. The UMDM struck north at the Legion in a lightning assault, hoping to stop the slave raids at their borders and gain some land in the process. The war continued on for years until Sandingo died of a heart attack and elections started again (no vice presidents or second-in-commands in the UMD, when your President your President for life as well). This time however, elections took an unexpected turn, for the first time in history a candidate from the Union party was elected for President, Antonio Silver.

Now it is 2300, December 25, and the war has come to a cease fire. Meanwhile President Silver is radically changing the UMD, hoping to change it back to the old ways, the ways of Javier Peviar.

UMD government and economy:

The UMD's economy is largely agricultural based. The most valued and widely used resources of the UMD are Corn (very important), Beans, Fishing (very important), Sugarcane, plantains and bananas, coffee, and natural gas. The majority of civilians farm or fish for a living and most of the remainder are either in the military or work in factories. The production of Ethanol is extremely valued in the UMD, most Corn and Sugarcane being devoted to it's creation. The UMD is a Democracy and all males are free to vote for President. There are two main political parties in Mexico (The Steeds and the Union) along with a congress. The Steeds and the Union have a very serious rivalry, making political standing a touchy matter in the UMD. The church is separated from the government.

UMD Military (UMDM):

Grand Mexican Army: The Grand Mexican Army is the dominate land aspect of the UMD military. They are the largest part of the military (exact numbers to be decided when guidelines are set down). The army is a very mobile fighting force, trained in lightning raids on foot, wheel, or hoof. The standard issue weapon for GMA troops is the Coyote 118, a post-war bolt-action rifle and the Kraig S2, a semi-automatic rifle similar to the Russian Draganov. The GMA does not only operate on foot, in fact that is quite rare. Instead the Grand Mexican Army widely uses calvary (horses for those of you who are complete failures ) and Ethanol fueled, post-war made Humvees.

Grand Mexican Navy: The GMN are a large but badly equipped force that patrols Mexican waters. The GMN is largely made up of militarized civilian vessels armed with Heavy Machine Guns and cannons. The GMN was developed in the UMD's early years to protect it's large amount of fishermen and expansive borders from sea raiders. The GMN are recruited for their sailing ability, often being pulled out of Mexico's large fisheries. While the sailors aboard the ships are experts the ships themselves could most certainly use some updating and improvement.

Grand Mexican Air Force: The GMAF is a branch of the military that is still in it's infancy. The GMAF is made up of militarized cargo planes and private jets along with a handful of Vertibirds. Because it's not the easiest thing to do to make a cargo plane capable of dog fighting (impossible) the GMAF is only uses for bombing. There is a certain unit of the GMAF (The Sky Hammers) that is highly proficient in deploying via parachute. These troops are armed with the Mumford 11, an assault rifle similar to the BAR, post war made.

Mist Walkers: The Mist Walkers are the special forces of the UMDM. This highly secretive military branch serves no one but the President and can accept orders from no one else. All soldier entering the Mist Walkers are severed from any past personal life an put through intense, highly lethal training exercises to wean down the weak. In training the Mist Walkers are virtually stripped of emotion and are turned into killing machines. The Mist Walkers are experts in infiltration, assassination, sabotage, diplomacy, Presidential protection, and a host of other skills. The Mist Walkers are equipped with what is necessary for their assignment.

'The Church':

The Church is the main and only religion of the United Mexican Democracy. The Church is lead by 12 men and women called "The Judges". The Church worships "The All God" and his children. The All God is the being that keeps the world in balance, directs science, creates life, governs the afterlife, and hands his word down to the Judges. The Church believes that the Great War was one of The All God's "Catalysts" or events that are sent down by Him to balance out life and help the human race continue or be reborn. Other examples of this were the Black Plague, both World Wars, and the latest Ice Age. All citizens of the UMD are required to be part of The Church and worship the All God. Before a President is inaugurated he must have his soul measured by all twelve Judges and receive the blessing of the All God.

The divine lessons of The All God are taught in a book called "The Ley". The Ley talks about the rules every good man should abide by, the history of The All God, and the Catalysts. There is also a second, exclusive, Holy book called "The Vela". The Vela holds the rules and initiation of the Judges along with disclosing how to speak to The All God.

Within The Church lies a militaristic group called "The Flame". The Flame's mission is to enforce the will of the Judges, serve the All God in militaristic matters, make sure all remain faithful, and deal with witchcraft. The Flame is divided into two simple ranks, Knight and Lord. The Knights attend to less important matters, such as making sure people remain faithful and eliminate witches while the Lords command the Knights, take part in the military as generals, and protect the Judges and the President.

Nevada Federation - (Objectivist123)

The Vegas Federation is an upstart nation that was born and baptized by the blood and oil of the Nevada natives. Mr.House breathed life into a broken city and spread its influence to all of Nevada. It had a medium level military,but it could not face off against the legion. The NCR came to the aid of the Nevada Federation. After the war was over on Chrismas day, Nevada was left in a state of decay. The roads were in ruin,the railroads broken,and factories in ruin. The military is worse off than before.

Military:The Nevada Federation's military is mostly made up of robots and tribals. It is of medium power, though it lacks organization. It's weaponry is mostly energy weapons, the rest are scavenged weaponry. The strong point of the Nevada Federation is its air force, which is comprised of bombers that were manufactured by the boomers using Mr.House's materials and vertibirds . The military leadership is primarily Mr.House.

Economy: The economy is similar to Fascism,where there is free market but only if it proves to be of benefit to society. The one who judges of course is, Mr.House.

Government:Benevolent Dictatorship headed by Mr.House, transforming into a Meritocracy.

NFIA: The NFIA was formed by the Courier and Mr.House. It has been created for the purpose of weeding out possible revolts and for spying on other nations. Though it is still ragtag, with the guidance of Mr.House and the Courier, it is being transformed into a fairly structured intelligence network.

New California Republic - (W0NDERWOMBAT)

NCR:

The NCR is one of the oldest established nations. NCR Is a democracy and has experienced turbulent times especially the “Turbulent 80s”, or a turbulent of instability, riots, economic depression and high crime at the start of 2280, though NCR historians conclude it escalated when the NCR was defeated by Mr. House and Vegas with the Courier. During this time, were the worst years for the NCR.

On 2290, war broke out when the Legion launched a full-scale invasion on the Nevada Federation. NF had a medium military along with robotic forces, high technology, and had defenses and fought hard but was to be overrun by the Legion and its military of 5 million strong Legionaries. Mr House and the Courier turned to the NCR which had a large Military, but its military was antiquated during this time still using relatively NCR equipment circa 2285 but made some advancements and made new weapons.

On 2300 on Christmas Day, the war came to a halt. Though the recent announcement of the Summit would mean the treaty will be signed at this summit along with other nations watching it. Will peace be ensued, will war continue….or will a cease fire be the only thing stopping them from war………Will NCR prosper through an age of peace, or will engines of war reignite once more…….
NCR Government and Economy:

The NCR Government is described as similar to the U.S during the 1940s. Corruption died down immensely but still, a few still go on. The government returned back to NCR’s principles. The NCR economy is based on Capitalism.
NCR Military:

NCA (New California Army):

The New California Army is currently the largest branch in the NCR Military with a large army. Equipment ranges from WW2. The Vehicles they use are U.S WW2 based vehicles. The special force of NCR is the NCR Rangers, Zeus Division which uses Energy Weapons, and the classified highly trained Task Force 1 (TF1). The Special Forces are all under the command of the NCSFC (New California Special Forces Command).
NCAF (New California Air Force):

The New California Airforce inception began on 2290, a 6 months before the war. The aircraft they use are currently from the Korean War like the Boeing B-52 Stratofortress, Douglas A-26 Skyraider, Lockheed F-94 Starfire, etc. Currently the NCAF and is growing.
NCN (New California Navy):

The NCN was also founded on 2290 on the same day as the founding of the NCAF. Currently the NCN is the smallest branch of the NCRM and uses WW2 U.S based ships. It currently growing though it largely is superseded by the NCAF growths.
CIA (California Intelligence Agency):

The CIA was founded on 2290 also and is based out in Crescent City, or as a metonym of the CIA. During the Western War, several CIA agents infiltrated the Legion and gave valuable info. They are still in the Legion, spying on them. They are highly trained.

History: Ages ago, when the world wasn't big enough to support the weight of the warring nations inhabiting it, a great nuclear war took place. It ended many lives and almost broke the planet in half. Hidden away from the devastation was a small group of men and women, serving under the name of an old world's flag. So begins the story of the Vigil, an organization the emerged from the rubble of the old world and saw what nightmares that had been born in the nuclear fire.
To better understand them though, one must know how they came to that point. Months before October 23rd, the day the world ended, a contingent of scientists, soldiers, civilians, and engineers numbering in the low hundreds were sent via a group of Vertibirds to a large island off the coast off Canada, lead by an old general that held great esteem named Bishop. That island being Newfoundland or " Terra Nova " in a long lost tongue. This cadre was sent by a mysterious and powerful organization known as the Enclave to conduct highly secretive experiments and research. Chief among their objectives was testing a super-soldier serum, a sibling to another formula, it was called " Clarity ". The compound was formulated to augment the key traits of the perfect soldier to superhuman levels, sight, strength, perception, intelligence, everything one needed to wage war.

Packed along with Clarity was various prototype armor and weapon designs, even those for vehicles should the materials present themselves. The group set about their work, preforming their tests and such, keeping to themselves for the immediate period after arrival. Months went by as the scientists collected their data, archiving it all for their return to Control Station ENCLAVE. One day a message was received over the makeshift communications tower, a war was eminent, it was time to burrow deep into the ground and preserve all technology for the betterment of the hell that earth would become. Over the next month, the team moved all their equipment, munitions, and food supply into the mountains and dug their way into the towering stone formations using their blasting tools.

Days later, the bombs dropped. Inside the mountains, the Enclave personnel were safe and sound. No radiation or harm found them, but they could feel the earth below them creak and moan. The ordeal ended overnight, they awoke to silence. They waited nervously for a week, then one brave man ventured out into the wilderness, away from the safety of their mountain complex. The soldier returned, his clothes torn and caked with his blood, he had narrowly escaped a mutated horror, it was the start of the Vigil's horrible hatred for mutants. Scientists immediately resumed their work, developing Clarity further and designing the armor and weapons outlined in the plans sent with them. through diligence and patience the Enclave scientists, some Poseidon men and women among them, completed the projects. On the list: APOLLO ( advanced laser pistol ), ARES ( plasma spear ), ARTEMIS ( rail gun ), ATHENA ( most advanced pre-war Power Armor ), HERAKLES ( a power fist ), SEMELE ( a plasma rifle ), and other implanted modules, increasing soldier longevity.

In the pile of blueprints, an engineer discovered plans for yet another form of Power Armor. It was even more advanced than the ATHENA model, but it had the greatly helpful property of being meant for delving into areas with immense levels of radiation. The suit, called HADES, resembled a hazmat suit, complete with the mask itself, filtering out all radiation and protecting the wearer from airborne diseases and viruses. The armor of the suit was made with some of the same metals and lightweight ceramic composites as the ATHENA model. But was advanced upon, adding other compounds to the mix, making the HADES the strongest and most advanced Power Armor constructed after the war. Taking many attempts, various failures, and even some deaths, the armor was completed and a select few suits were made, since the resources they needed weren't as available as they could be, as they hadn't ventured outside.

Scientists toiled tirelessly, fulfilling all their assigned duties. Soldiers, equipped in their brand-new HADES suits and SEMELE plasma rifles, crept out into the hell that had come of the Great War. Various nightmarish creatures assaulted them but the monsters were repelled with the amazing new technologies, the armor protecting their wearers from the massive amounts of radiation. Once the men returned, prisoners in hand, they raved about their equipment, informing the men in lab-coats of how useful they'd be if they could be expounded on. The scientists agreed and set to work on brainstorming for these weapons and their newly-made armor. More sinister researchers took the hostage mutants to a secluded little lab they'd set up, deeper into the mountain, away from their people. In that laboratory, they took all manner of samples from the creatures, trying to see if they could weaponize them. Torture and experiments followed, they failed at the weaponizing, but they did learn a great deal about their new enemies. Fire, the mutants didn't like fire. They were also rather susceptible to extreme, skin freezing cold, along with certain chemicals.

HADES suits were a great work for the researchers. With the discoveries made on the mutations, the suits needed to be added to. The engineers were called in to work on them. Fitted onto the suits were holding tanks loaded onto the back of the armor, beside their built-in micro-fusion reactor power-packs. The tanks could hold one of three different loadouts, one of flame, one of ice ( essentially a very potent twist of liquid nitrogen ), one of a chemical spray that corroded it's target away, akin to acid. To be used, a flamethrower-esque sprayer was attached to the tank, it was used to fire the agent at the user's target. The entire apparatus was called the " Custodian ". From there, the HADES model was ready to combat any mutant threat.

Clarity was developed further, being first tested on rodents. Watching closely, the scientists saw the test subjects experience a massive leap in every aspect Clarity was meant to enhance. Joy followed the success, they had a weapon that would help make the difference in fighting their war against the demons outside their fortress. Inside their mountain, the Enclave people grew, reproducing at a great enough rate to see their ranks bulk up to the tasks of soldiering and engineering, seeing the bright ones become researchers. Soon though, room was in dire need, it was then the people decided it was time for action, time to face their enemy head on. Servicemen were outfitted in their HADES suits, everyone else in their radiation suits. It was time.

Emergence. That was the name of the event that signaled the Vigil's leaving their mountain home. Soldiers were first out, scouting ahead, carving a swathe through the hordes of hideous creatures. Civilians were behind them, marveling at the power of their creations. The HADES men had leveled the field in a short time, no mutants left to kill. They returned to their scientists and the others. The Vigil had seen it's first light.

All these things happened separately over a few years, with the Emergence coming 3 years after the war, when the mountain base could no longer hold the numbers of the group. The Enclavers, now debating their own name, set out to the land and found the abandoned cities after establishing a select few outposts in various locations along the way. In these cities they found more disease to be burned away, once it was, they salvaged all they could and moved along. Weeks passed and in a stroke of luck, they stumbled upon the largest city on the island. St. John's as it was called before the end, was still inhabited. Not by monsters this time though, by normal humans who'd managed to avoid death or radiation. By this time, the Vigil had begun calling itself just that. It flowed into the city, assuming control. The despaired people swore fealty to them at the drop of a hat, being promised protection in exchange for their able numbers and all their resources.

St. John's was renamed Pharus, Latin for " Beacon ". The Vigil ruled their new city justly, treating their new charges with fairness despite how much distaste they held for their radiation exposure. They spread their tendrils into the city immediately, moving themselves into the nicest buildings available there were no protests. Scientists were situated wherever anything useful was located, bringing their work with them. Soldiers took places like town hall for a barracks, setting their armories up in old warehouses and locking them up, patrols everywhere. Everyone else found their niche.

The researchers studied the willing citizens of Pharus for ways to counteract their radiation, finding a solution after a few weeks of constant study. Many of the people had been mutated in various ways. With their cooperation, the scientists developed a cure of sorts, that would wash away impurities in their genetic code and all other areas affected by mutations. Luckily for the former citizens of St. John's too, for the leader of the Vigil, Arthur Bishop, had already informed the members of his new order that the " mutants " would be killed if they couldn't be cured. The newly cleansed people were then welcomed into the Vigil, schools were erected to educate the people's children, the advlts became workers in a field that fit their aptitude. New researchers, scientists, soldiers, and engineers joined the old and increased their numbers.

Pharus flourished. Fisheries were reopened after a cleansing agent was developed for the water, each load was treated with the cure and made safe to eat by it. A water purifier was also created and set to work. Forests around the town were trimmed down a little as the factories fired back to life, worked by eager civilians. A mine was started near the town as the Vigil secured the 20 or so miles surrounding their new city. This mine delved into the ground, successfully finding more metals to allow greater production of armor and weapons. The military policed the streets constantly, though there was almost no crime to be heard of. Mutants sometimes approached the city or it's facilities, but fell to the ground dead before they reached the perimeter from well-placed bullets. Every inch of land was protected as well as it could be, nothing could touch Pharus. The Vigil established it's military ' academy ', where recruits applied for and entered service. Recruits were trained, harshly. In the cold landscape they were molded into hardy, ferocious combatants.

Arthur Bishop, leader of the Vigil and owner of the title Grand Overseer, lead a large expedition back to the mountain city that had birthed his order. There they found it untouched. Once securing the site, Bishop named it Ark Mountain, for it was the vessel that had preserved them. All technologies and equipment that wasn't brought along was collected for delivery back to Pharus. But the site wasn't to be abandoned, Bishop had a large part of the expedition re-settle the old fortress, erecting a church of sorts, headed by Bishop's best friend and adviser; William Mercer. He was appointed Lord High Chancellor and was given full authority over the church, named the " Holy Church of the Sight ", Lord Chancellor Mercer only answered to Bishop himself. With Ark Mountain coming to life once more, the Grand Overseer took his leave, escorted by his honor-guard comprised of his most trusted soldiers.

Lord Chancellor Mercer was a wise man of his 50's, the same as his old friend Arthur. His church came to life, many wanted to revel in the greatness of the Vigil. He taught them how to worship the greatness of how they, as the Vigil, were clear-sighted. They pitied those who weren't gifted the clarity they saw, but knew it wasn't only worship that brought enlightenment, it could be achieved in other ways. The church was not pressed on the people, it was merely there for those who wished to show their appreciation. Mercer had regular talks with Bishop, they still conversed on matters of state since the order was secular and Bishop trusted Mercer with his life. The two always maintained a close contact, reporting on their respective sectors. Church matters were rarely very exciting but it warmed Bishop to know his people were so devoted to their cause, which was cleansing the world of mutation and maintaining clear vision.

Mercer began a secret order within the church though, taking in members of the church that were the most devout and training them in combat. These men and women he called his Knights Templar, after his favorite old world military force. Templars were chiseled into fierce and relentless warriors, utilizing their honed bodies as weapons. They rarely used weapons but when they did, they used modified versions of the ARES plasma spear, which were made into plasma swords instead, able to combine two to form a plasma staff of sorts. Old ATHENA model armors were advanced to more current standards, bringing them close to on-par with the HADES armor, then renamed to be TEMPLAR model. The new armors were also remodeled to look just like the Knights Templar armors from the old world history holotapes, but had the eerie gasmask included on it as well, maintaining the symbol of the Vigil's soldiery. This helped to also insulate their wearers from radiation and disease. Lord High Chancellor Mercer sent a squad of these Templar knights to Pharus, seeking out the High Overseer. Bishop saw the arrival of these men, in old yet familiar armor. They approached him in his hall and kneeled before him, pledging themselves to his service. Bishop knew it was Mercer's doing and accepted them, from that moment he had his own elite guard, replacing his old honor-guard. The two branches differed by color, Bishop's Knights wore a black and red version of the TEMPLAR armor, where Mercers wore a red and white.

With the church established and Pharus pumping out all the needed materials for expansion, a slightly older Bishop ordered his newly-organized army west and south-west. The Vigil's army swept across the island, bringing new cities under it's influence. After a few months of campaigning, the army had the island under their control. Mutations were wiped away and raider bands were out down.

Decades flew by and the Vigil, now in control of Newfoundland and the surrounding islands, experienced great power. Their military was powerful yet it wasn't overly plentiful, over time they'd constructed a respectable yet still not very large air-force made up of Vertibirds, and had even refurbished old sea vessels into ships ready for battle, numbering a decent amount. The order commanded a great knowledge of science and technology. Its cities produced metals and minerals, weapons and armor, foodstuffs, clean water, everything one could need essentially, save for a few odds and ends. People of the Vigil's cities were disease and mutation free and had a high standard of living. The Bishop line lead them through thick and thin. All in all, the Vigil was doing well. Its enemy had been burned away, now it only inhabited the godforsaken mainland. Efforts were made to establish outposts on the shores of what used to be known as Canada, after some fighting, two or three were successfully put up.

One routine day, more than 220 years after the Great War, a message was received in the communications center of Pharus. Alexander Bishop, the leader of the Vigil thanks to his bloodline, was summoned immediately. The young Bishop was popular wit his people, he was compassionate and wise. He arrived to hear the message, listening with intent ears. The one sending the transmission proclaimed he was of an organization called the " Brotherhood of Steel ", he spoke, inquiring if anyone was receiving his signal, if there was any other Brotherhood. Alexander took command then, replying in the affirmative. He was truly amazed to find that there was sentient life left, he'd foolishly thought that aside from the Vigil only rabid mutants lived on the Earth. On the other end, the " Scribe " as he called himself asked who it was. The Scribe put another man on, who held more authority. From there on, the two spoke, trading ideals and information of themselves, never anything too important though, only enough to familiarize each other. At the end, the Vigil had a new friend. The two contacted each other regularly and developed a steadfast alliance over a few months.

Scientists again made the military even stronger. They developed a sort of super-solider. Clarity was altered greatly and instead of just increasing the senses, enlarging body-mass, and turning the eyes white, this new compound twisted the human subject into a snow-white muscly behemoth. This new mutant was named a " Berserker " and studied for reproduction and control. The monster had grown from 5'11 to 8 feet tall, muscle mass shot up, skin turned to a starker white than a winter's snow, became sterile and all hair fell out. The subject's mind shattered and he was reduced to a howling, roaring brute. It took the better part of a year researching, but the scientists found a way to replicate the effects, excluding the loss of control. With the new chemical called " Veil ", a team of Berserkers was made possible, soldiers volunteered and became the first group of intelligent Berserkers. The soldiers maintained control of themselves and proved themselves by helping clear away land on the shore for an outpost. From there on, Berserkers were implemented into the army. Special ATHENA suits were made to fit the frame of the new weapons, which were applied later. Berserker numbers are small, with only perhaps a hundred or so in the field, but more can be made in dire situations. The creatures are tolerated because they were made by a strain of Clarity and are soldiers of their army.

Another day, more recently, months after contact with the Brotherhood, Alexander was alerted by one of his men that a ship was approaching the city. Bishop ran out to the balcony of his hall to try to see what exactly was encroaching upon his water. A rather large naval vessel was sailing through the water a fair distance away. Bishop had a ship of his own prepped and rode it out to meet this new presence. The two vessels stopped beside one another and Bishop went aboard, meeting the leader of the men in the new ship. Alexander was informed that these new men were men of the Enclave, he almost jumped out of his skin. His father had said that the glorious organization had died in the war, that the Vigil was the only product of the Enclave left. He relayed the story of his people to the leader of the expedition who he have permission to dock and refuel at Pharus. The two ships proceeded back, where Alexander had his personal Vertibird readied for launch. The leader of the Enclave men gave him the location of the leadership, based in old Washington D.C. Bishop flew over the Atlantic Ocean and found the old capital of the U.S. to be abuzz with Enclave life. His Vertibird, painted a imposing red and black, descended to the ground, after an uneasy clearance from someone on the ground. From his landing, Alexander was met with Enclave soldiers, where upon his claim to be of Enclave descent, was escorted to the President. Bishop met him on equal ground, telling the story of the Vigil once again to him. For a long while the two talked. When the talk ended, a document had been signed, the two were allies, two pieces had become one again.
Government and Economy:

The government of the Vigil is a Constitutional Monarchy where the only thing Constitutional is citizens having rights, it's country name is officially the Vigil Kingdom. The leader or Grand Overseer ( he doesn't like to be called king ) of the nation is Alexander Bishop who exercises complete control in the country but holds a board of advisers, his subjects do enjoy a Bill of Rights. He holds power over both the military and government. The only other man who holds notable power is Lord High Chancellor Jonas Mercer, who is leader of the Holy Church of the Sight which is popular with the people. Citizens like and respect both leaders and are treated well.

Economy-wise, the Vigil is Socialist. Citizens are allowed to make many of their own financial choices, such as any business they should wish to open. But the government owns many of the larger businesses and industries, such as mines, sawmills, hospitals, and factories. Many individually-owned fisheries are open, restaurants and markets as well. 200 years has done well for the economy, it's healthy and is able to produce just about whatever the country needs. Currency used is the Vigil Script, looking much like pre-war U.S. dollar bills.
Military:

Ground Force ( The Army ): Comprised mainly of soldiers donning retrofitted ATHENA model Power Armor, greatly advanced since the days when it was first made, able to filter out all the dangerous airborne enemies one could encounter in hostile environments. Soldiers also carry SEMELE model plasma rifles, heavy troopers are outfitted with ARTEMIS rail-guns. In all, the army's forces carry a diverse assortment of advanced weapons. It is the largest of the three branches, being quite big for the size of the country itself, yet it isn't a massive army, not on the scale to armies of nations like the Legion or NCR at all. Small but potent wins the day. The Vigil's army is very advanced and disciplined, failure isn't tolerated. Training is brutal, harsh, almost death itself to ensure that the soldiers are the cream of the crop. Technology lends them a significant edge.

- Ranking is quite unique in the Vigil, names focus mainly on order or protection of something such as knowledge. These are the ranks:

High Overseer ( Grand Overseer is the tile of a king, thus it is separate, but Alexander had to achieve this rank first. This is the highest rank in the army. The holder is an adviser to the Grand Overseer in military manners, as well as being his chief general. )

- The more elite of the army, those who have proved themselves worthy, beginning at the rank of Guardian, receive their menacing matte black hazmat-like HADES armor equipped with a Custodian system. The HADES suits are the pride of the infantry, equivalent in reverence to that of the Black Ranger Armor of the 2280's NCR. When seen, silence follows, nobody wants to face an angry Guardian ( or soldier of even higher rank ) in their HADES armor.

- There is also the Royal Guard. Garbed in TEMPLAR armor, advanced to the point it almost surpasses the HADES. The Royal Guard is very powerful, and is sometimes deployed onto the battlefield in dire situations. A cadre of them are always guarding the Grand Overseer and Lord High Chancellor. They are often the last thing great enemies of the Vigil ever see.

Sea Forces ( The Navy ): The Vigil has very few naval capabilities. It relies on retrofitted ships from in and around the island as a source of water combat-ability. All ships are fitted with at least some type of weapon. Stored away for special occasions are old battleships and one old destroyer, but that is the extent of the Vigil's little naval power. It is easily the smallest and most underdeveloped part of its military.

Air Power ( The Air-Force ): Luckily for the Vigil, the Enclave included blueprints for their signature Vertibird in the pile of other schematics. Thanks to that, the country has air capabilities. The Vertibirds in the Vigil's arsenal are fitted for ground assaults, missile-pods and machine guns mounted on the front of it. They also act as transports for troops and supplies, for simple visits as well. However, the Vertibird, while very formidable, is the only craft the Vigil has to use in the air. Scientists have been at work to develop it further though, advance it's strengths and such. Perhaps make another craft from it somehow.

Other Offices:

Department of State Intelligence: Seeks and obtains information on potential assets or enemies. Established after first contact with the Brotherhood, the DSI is almost unheard of, not many know of it and live. Scouts are sent from it's office on recon missions and the like. Select few are drawn from service in the army to be intelligence officers, for they need to be stealthy, brutal, and efficient. The DSI is almost like an Inquisition.

Military Science Division: The cruel and sadistic scientists of this military science department are not to be trifled with. They are always on the lookout for ways to weaponize viruses and chemical compounds. They were the ones who made the Berserkers and only have move sinister things in mind.
This department is also in-charge of maintaining and developing the Custodian systems.

Mechanical Engineering Corps: This office is responsible for manufacturing and maintaining robots for combat. Only few robots serve in the military, since few were on the island when the bombs dropped. Among them are only Protectrons and Mr. Gutsies. The department also keeps the mechanical things in the country running.

Relations:

The Vigil is allied with the Washington Brotherhood of Steel since the two share a hatred for mutations.

To compliment that, the Vigil has in a sense, combined with the Enclave due to the fact the Vigil is the product of a stranded Enclave research expedition and share almost every belief with them.

Occupied Land: Texas, Headquartered in Houston

Government:

Flag-Bearer: The Leader/Representative of the Grey Hawks

Advisers: They are advisers elected by the populace though the war and tech adviser is hand-picked by the Flag-Bearer.

Military: They hire mercenaries to train every citizen or they do so themselves, anyone in Texas that does not fight for the cause is shunned or
sometimes executed. They also have one vertibird, but its use is restricted to the Flag-Bearer and his advisers. It’s painted with a single Grey Hawk on the Side, visible through the chipped paint. They also possess a prewar battleship but don’t have the means to get it running.

The Fangs:

The fang troopers wear salvaged power armor with their symbol painted on the helmet and chest piece, very few of them have working power armor. Their weaponry is handpicked by each individual, as their numbers are not high. They are the leaders of their ranks and often lead squads of recruits.

The Claws:

The claws are close ranged troopers that wear something similar to http://fallout.wikia.../wiki/Riot_gear, they move with the Flag-Bearer and his advisers. Their duty is to guard the Flag-Bearer at any cost. They carry riot shotguns or hunting shotguns, very few of them use automatic rifles (http://fallout.wikia...automatic_rifle/).

The Talons:

The Talons are elite snipers that work only together, they focus on moving quietly and taking down enemies at distances. Their weapons vary dependant upon the owner’s preference.

Recruits:

The rest of the military are civilian troopers, they use service rifles or anything they can scavenge.

History: The Grey Hawks formed from a mercenary company that operated out of Houston; they had uncovered a pre-war military base and began to expand in power. Connor was the second in command, only under Wilkinson, Wilkinson used the military base to effectively take control of Houston and the surrounding area, as much of it had just been small raider groups that would easily be conquered in days, however Wilkinson stopped at Houston, Connor thought of this as only a small victory, and after many arguments Connor had had enough, he simply stepped into his office and fired a bullet into his head before speaking over the intercom “There has been a change in leadership.” He then began to form the Grey Hawks as we know of them today. They simply used the same tactics they did in Houston, but on a grander scale. When that failed they pitted the tribes against one another, through nefarious dealings or through framing the groups.

I just thought I'd try and update somewhat stale OOC template that's been in use, you know actually update it etc. Going to have summeries from the last conventions if anyone could give me a hand with that.
