» Thu Dec 27, 2012 7:16 pm Game runs fine except when I hook my HDMI cable to the PC and HDTV. My thinking was why play on my laptop's screen when I can play on 36 inch HDTV? But whenever I plug in the HDMI cable, Morrowind crashes. Most bizarre shenanigans. I must be missing something.
Anyone have any advice? As soon as I unplug the cable everything runs fine. I just don't get how this would cause a game to crash.

Ok, apparently it's caused by my laptop screen resolution being 1280 x 720 and Morrowind at 1280 x 600. When I changed my laptop's screen resolution to Morrowind it prevented the game from crashing; however, I have another issue.
The game runs but my TV goes into a blackscreen. I tested out by running Rome: Total War and that game runs smoothly and shows up on my HDTV. Why is morrowind running on the laptop yet the HD stays at blackscreen?
