What are the ghosts in baja?

Hanlon is a traitor. If he was a memeber of the Enclave talking bad about the Enclave, I have a feeling you would write off everything about him as well.

Hanlon seems to be a man suffering from post traumatic stress or a bad case of who gives a [censored]. Point is for whatever reason he turned his back on NCR. So when he says "oh well they are chasing ghosts" could very well be just him down playing it cause to him the Mojave is what is important and since Kimball and the others don't agree with him, he became disgruntled.

I doubt Hanlon is in charge of all Ranger forces in the NCR. So he wouldn't really know of what is going on in Baja. To him all that matters is the Mojave and anything else is not important.

In which case then we know nothing so you have even less of a case. If he's just lying about it then you can't also literally interpretate his "ghosts" as people in stealth-boys or even that they are looking for anything at-all; you can't have it both ways.

Hanlon doesn't even want to be in the Mojave, his entire questline is trying to ensure that the NCR loses in the Mojave and does home.

He says something is going on in the Mojave. That we can take, but it's importants we can't because he doesn't feel it is important. Hanlon wanted more troops and support and he didn't get it. He doesn't feel he ever will get it. So in his mind the only way to end the madness is to make sure NCR loses in the Mojave, so the people can go home. If not Kimball will just keep sending as little troops as possible to the Mojave, so long as it's enough to hold it. Things will not change and troops will keep dying needlessly in his mind.

I doubt he is Chief of all NCR Rangers in all of the NCR. If he was he would have far more power then he does. If he was as high ranking as say Oliver then I am sure Kimball would send all the Rangers he asks for.

Have you heard his story about Baja (which I guess is probably a lie right?) where the NCR sent Ranger Vets to help some NCR colonists, Rangers died just getting there to find it was six-shacks with an NCR rag flying over it. It wouldn't surprise me if this [censored] is still going on and if it's what's got him so pissed, as-well as dike-waving between the Rangers and the Army.

As you didn't refute my point I'll assume you agree that out-right disregarding what he says means you have nothing either.
