Is there a Dark Talon story/arc?

Post » Tue Mar 23, 2010 1:13 am

So, at some point not too long after I started playing, Dark Talon started occasionally showing up various places to try to kill me (mostly unsuccessfully). I'm not sure what triggered it - I'm guessing either attaining a certain level of positive karma, or perhaps reaching a certain point in the main quest, or even I suppose just reaching a certain level.

Anyhow, I see that some of the corpses have a note/bounty notice, which suggests that there is some deaper story - if there is a bounty on my head, someone must've placed the bounty. The question is, where do I go now or what do I do, to get started down the path of such a story arc?

There is no quest to pursue considering the hit out on your character. There will always be a note on the dead mercenaries when you kill them, regardless of your actions. As long as you have Good Karma or higher they'll come after you.

Depending on how you responded during a conversation with a certain character during the beginning of a quest there can be a relation between the hits on you and that quest, but like I said there's nothing you can pursue. There should be too; but I guess they opted to go with this other quest that is in the game where you can kill the character who wants you dead, but not for that reason that he/she's trying to have you assassinated. Kind of missed potential if you ask me.

Btw, it's "Talon Company", not "Dark Talon".

Verisco: thanks for the reply.

You're right. I dunno why my mind changed the name. I guess because they're always wearing black.

Anyhow, if there isnt' a quest, I agree that was a missed opportunity. Oh well, there's really only so much they can do - they already create tons and tons of content, and at some point they actually have to ship a product, so I can't complain too much.
