alternate control methods?

For the past year or so, I have been struggling with nerve pain into my hands as a result of a serious chronic health issue. I am homebound, so I have used computer games as a means of staying "active" for years and years now. With this hand issue, this has become much more complicated.

I am currently looking for ways to play Oblivion that allow me to move away from using a keyboard and mouse. I received a Dual Shock 3 PlayStation controller as a Christmas gift and I've installed MotionInJoy, which should allow me to configure it in a lot of different ways. I am new to console controllers in general, however, so this is a little more complicated than it otherwise might be.

I have also edited my oblivion.ini to allow the joysticks on my controller to function, as long as the controller is in Xbox emulation mode. What I can't figure out is how to configure enough hotkeys for the game to be playable, or how to navigate menus.

I'd love some help on this subject. If it involves the controller, that's awesome, but if you have ideas for other methods of control, I am open to those as well. Thanks for your input!
