Whatever happened to those good ol' Great Houses?

Hey all, I'm a Dunmer-lover. Said and done. Specifically, House Redoran. But until I recently picked up an old copy of Morrowind: GOTY for xbox at my local game store the other week, I had been dreadfully out-dated on most of the lore. I've played tidbits of Skyrim, but I won't have my own copy for at least a month or two thanks to other things on my financial checklist. And replaying through Morrowind made me wonder on the state of the Great Houses circa 4E 201(that's the year of Skyrim, right?).

Here's what I've got so far:

Hlaalu's been removed from the grand council of houses. Fine with me. That's closure enough for me, as they were my least favorite house. :P

Ald-Ruhn was destroyed in the Oblivion Crisis, the Redorans have moved to Raven Rock, and they still hold Blacklight and seem to be the prominent house in Morrowind these days.

The Telvanni...erm...well, they have a tower on Solstheim, right?

I have no idea on the Dres or Indoril, but these two houses seemed to be falling from grace anyways during Oblivion.

I'm aware of the Red Year and of the Argonian Invasion, but everything after that seems vague. I would really love it if anyone could help fill in the blanks, or correct me on anything I'm not getting quite right. :)
