Can anybody texture?

Post » Tue Mar 23, 2010 10:34 pm

Alright just about had enough of this now. I can model till the cows come home but when I slap on a texture it just looks like Helen Keller made it >.<

If anyone is willing to give me some pointers or even have a go at texturing for me (in the midst of a mod....) I would love to hear from them.

The mod I am doing at the moment involves a complete new set of buildings, items, weapons etc but they look bloody awful when I texture them :(

Here's hoping....

Saying someone who offers his help that his stuff is crappy, is a bit inapropriate, isn't it?
There are better ways to say 'no thanks', really.

your correct . saying someone elses work is crappy isnt very polite put in that manner. however i beilve he was saying the ones that he him self posted were the crappy ones in which case saying your own work is crappy is quite alright. ive even done it my self which is why i went and re did all of my texture work several times.

wow..

Wish I had skills in stuff like that. I'm more of a lore and concept person. Those look great mystery.

Now, simon I've not looked at your models yet, but good to hear we have another one. I like new faces. Never know what they are capable of. Welcome to the forums. :)

LOL! Those are my models and yes they are crappy and not the ones Im going to use >.<

That is my work and I can call it crappy as much as like thanks!

Thanks Maholix and all.

By the way I'm far from new :D

I just didn't use the forum very much before and lost my password :( so just used facebook to come back on.

The mod in question has been on for about 5 years now, there are only 2 of us making it (my son is the other one)
and he owns the imagination not I :(

Inbetween the (so far) 403 quests + the main quest I mess about modelling, retexturing (not to your standard - above), scripting or playing the game.

It was nice to come here after so long and see that Morrowind hadn't died a death like most games :)
