Will the Ayleids return?

So I was just reading all of the Nu-Mantia Intercept letters at the Imperial Library. I was wondering if you guys thought it was interesting like I thought it was that they state throughout most of the letters of the Ayleids impending return and what they want to do with their White Gold Tower. What do you guys think Bethesda will do with the Ayleids in upcoming games. I believe the Ayleids could be mustering up their strength underground for an invasion of Cyrodiil from the Imperials. I do not believe they are connected with the Thalmor as stated in another forum, but I do believe MK would not state something about the Ayleids returning if Bethesda isnt thinking of doing it. Perhaps the Oblivion Crisis was just a pre cursor to what will happen later on?

As far as we can tell, the Nu-Mantia Intercept was basically an older version of the OB main quest that got scrapped in favor of a Daedric invasion. Knights of the Nine is obviously inspired by it, and you can argue that Mankar Camoran was a harbinger of their return, trying to create a new Ayleid Empire in the New Dawn, but the specific Ayleid threat mentioned in Nu-Mantia is, for all intents and purposes, non-canon (as uncomfortable as I am using that word).
