Cyclic redundancy check

Post » Wed Jan 09, 2013 11:08 am

Hello, fellow forum members. I've just tried installing Fallout 3 and received a cyclic redundancy error. It's the FO3/Oblivion version; I don't know if that makes a major difference.

I'm pretty sure the game was installed before, and that I removed all traces of it (there isn't even an entry in my registry). What's going on? Is there a cure? I'm a computer illiterate, but here's what dxdiag has to say. Thanks in advance for your help.
