I′m gonna repeat what the others said. PC, no doubt whatsoever. I have never adjusted to a handcontrol, a mouse and a keyboard is the only way for me to play a game. Not to mention on PC you can fix almost any issue yourself, either with the console or a downloaded program. And of course, as said, mods. Not that I use them myself much, other than Spell Delete which in my opinion alone is worth playing on PC

They may be on every version but the PS3 version it remains unpatched. I laugh at that PC is better if you do not want to cheat. PC has the biggest list of cheats, its called the console and the code additem.player f 1000000000 is more of a cheat than duplicating items and selling. At least duplication takes more effort.

No, that was my point, it's far easier to cheat on PC. But not cheating is better on PC, too, disabling the console is trivial, and other bugs are easily patched with user made patches.

Sorry I read it wrong I thought you said if you do not want to cheat. Anyway I find cheating easier on PS3 for the average user. My friend is a example of that.

I am probably one of the only people to choose 360 over PC. I like the 360 much better because I despise using a keyboard and mouse, it feels so alien to me, especially since I grew up playing games on the Nintendo 64 like Zelda and James Bond.

Another reason is I waste all my time modding the game instead of enjoying it, it's like an addiction... to go out and find every mod that sounds remotely interesting and then adding it to the game then loading up a character just to see what it's like. Along with that I've had to reinstall Oblivion too many times because the mods !@#$%^ it up. I have considered limiting myself to a certain number of mods and using my Xbox controller instead of the keyboard and mouse, but all I have are wireless controllers and no money to go get a wired controller or adapter.

There is also the comfort aspect, it is much more enjoyable to relax in your favorite chair or lounge in bed and play Oblivion and enjoy all it has to offer.

So obviously :P my choice is the Xbox 360 version

I played the PC version for a few years. I got tired of it because it was just too easy to cheat or use the console command system.

So I switched to the 360 version of the game.

Yeah, you sacrifice mods, graphics updates and bugfixes in order to have a substitute for willpower for not to use cheats or console.

Very wise indeed.

The temptation is hard to resist when playing oblivion on pc. I think he should have disabled the console then it be more like the 360 version.

Since the OP never asked about the PS3 it is hardly relevant to bring it up. but since you did I have to sa no.

TBH there is little between the graphics in PS3 and 360 versions, some things the PS3 does better, others the 360. no clear victory there.

The PS3 does win on loading times, but the bugs that come with the PS3 version are not worth that. the vamp cure bug is the obvious well known one but there are other smaller but still frustrating bugs on the PS3 version that don't exist in any other version off the game.it is not a good port at all and should not be recommended.

I respectfully disagree. The PS3 version has better graphics and this is not opinion, it is a fact. Although I have to say that the difference is not really that big, just some improved textures and less pop-up. This will be important for some players and less important for others. Your mileage may vary. As for the bugs, I've put dozens of hours in the PS3 version and couldn't find any game-breaking bugs at all; nothing that wouldn't be on the other two versions. The only major bug that plagues the PS3 version is the vampire cure bug, but this only affects the GOTY edition, not the regular one.

There's still the A-Bomb, which affects all versions, but is easily fixed on PC, which is absolutely gamebreaking, is unavoidable, and will hit after a few hundred hours. For that alone, I recommend any serious oblivion players keep away from the console version, because once that bug hits your save file is totalled and there's nothing you can do about it.
