Falllout 4 Influnces?

This has nothing to do with what i would like to see in the next Fallout or any rumors regarding the upcoming game. I believe this topic is seperate enough to keep it its own topic but I guess that will ultimatley be left up to the Mods.

My question to the community is this, will the success of Fallout 3 compared to the lack of success of Fallout NV influence the content of the upcoming Fallout game? Personally, I believe NV to be the better game; however, much has been written how NV didn't get a high enough metacritic, lower user scores, and it wasn't named Game of the Year. The fact is, Fallout 3 is the much more award laden game between the two. Do you think Bethesda will look at these successes (or lack there of) and taylor their game accordingly? While both games are excellent there is a big difference between the two in where they excel. It will be interesting to see if Bethesda will actually look at the recepetion of the two Fallouts and make that information the driver on content and gameplay.

Fallout New Vegas sold just as well as Fallout 3 and Bethesda was really happy with the sales of New Vegas.

New Vegas got crapped on by the mindless reviewers because "it was old" as in it used Fallout 3's engine.

Both games have their pros and cons and if Bethesda is smart they will take the best from both and put it in Fallout 4. I presonally hope they stick to New Vegas because it true to the series.

NV will definitely influence the content of Fallout 4 (even if FO4 ends up on the West Coast) because it heavily improved on Bethesda's system (true iron sights, weapon mods, etc). Hopefully, they learn not to only recycle buildings. Hopefully, they learn that a linear main quest frustrates lots of fans. Hopefully, Fallout 4 takes the best of both games and creates an ultimate Fallout.

I actually don't mind if it's on the East Coast. However, Bethesda needs to drop BoS and Enclave as main factions. They've been re-used so many times in the series. They're done.

Despite the lower overall review score of New vegas, I doubt Bethesda is just going to drop everything done in it.

They have long since shown with the Elder Scrolls series they they look at what the top mods are, and what people said they like/dislike most about the game, and base thier next game on that.

Skyrim in particular has a very long list of features that are obvious reactions to what fans said about things in Oblivion, and I dont see them treating Fallout 4 any different.
