Finally have a copy of New Vegas (Ultimate) for PS3 on the way.

I was hoping the community could provide some suggestions for a "hardcoe" play style. Certainly, there are mods for the PC that offer new game modes, but as a lowly console player, they will be of no use to me. I will have to implement my own restrictions/behaviors.

Can anyone offer some generally recognized restrictions/suggestions/options for a more immersed play through with less potential to become overpowered?
