Anyone know where I can find a mod for Valenwood, like the Elsweyr mods that are out there?

I don't know if any of you use this mod, but when I downloaded the 1.2 and the 1.2.1 update, it is missing an esm, and therefore crashes my game after logo, anybody know what this is all about?

Assuming you want it in English, you need the German version for all the resources, the English translation for the replacement esp, and then the 1.2.1 update on top. My guess is that you didn't download the German base content.

Note the .esp file from the German one gets completely replaced by the English (which is incomplete and still leaves a few things named in German). Wrye Bash may complain about you doing that, but ignore it.

Correct, there is no esm included. But there are a lot of nif's. dds's and other files and folders in that base archive. I don't recall what the dependencies of VI are, but SI is certainly one of them. Maybe that's your missing master?

Wrye Bash or Tes4Edit will tell you what the masters are for the esp. I'd suspect only Oblivion.esm and DLCShiveringIsles.esm (I may have got the SI name wrong).

Ok, so according to TES4Edit, I am missing some esp masters, all of which were not included in any of the downloads:

-Unique Landscapes - River Ethe DV.esp
-xulFallenLeafEverglade.esp
-Unique Landscapes - Fallenleaf Everglade.esp and;
-xulRiverEthe.esp

You don't need those. Just delete the two compatibility patches that came with Valenwood Improved and you should be all set,
