External Admin Interface (v0.8)

Post » Wed Jan 23, 2013 6:58 am

Hey everyone,

It is a pleasure for us to introduce you today to our latest mod project called Crysis 2 Pro. The planning for this project started short after the release of the final Crysis Wars EX version and it will still take a while till we can show you some footage of the actual modification.

While C2Pro itself stays in pre-production until the official MOD SDK has been released we have decided to already start supporting the community by working on an admin interface that allows server administrators to manage their game servers.

External Admin Interface
The production for this tool began short after the release of Crysis 2 and therefore the first releases will be all declared as beta versions until the tool is stable and contains all planned features.

The goal for the first version was to build a base we can work with and therefore only basic features like changing CVars or changing a map have been integrated. Future versions will contain an improved interface and more options to administrate your server.

Thanks man. Will test it sooner or later.

As for the people that don't have Rcon setup right, this might help: http://tinyurl.com/65wq9kg

Hi, I'm trying to use this server tool, but all I ever get is "Cannot connect to server" error message.
I know the information im putting in the boxes is correct because my friend is able to connect.
I have read that there is a buggy issue so you should tab to the next fields, i have tried this many times. still cant connect.
I thought maybe my anti-virus software/firewall was interefering so i allowed all ports, and even temporary disabled and still got "cannot connect to server"

Any suggestions would be appreciated right now

cheers

i am completely new to server administration.

obviously the ip and pass are still going to be the same.

but is it possible i need a different game port and http port because i am with a different isp?

how would i find this information?

Hi everyone,

Sorry I could not answer before. You can check with your server providers if you are unsure about the data you have to enter. All server providers should have the tool.

Also true we released version 0.3 some days ago including these changes:

- Removed “kick” from commands list
- Removed “ban” from commands list
- Enabled “Players” tab with players list, kick and ban buttons
- Enabled “status” command to recover players list periodically (status gets refreshed every 10 seconds)
- Changed user interface to fit with the new tab

Hello everyone,

If you are sure about the data, the problem should be the connection.
If you are not sure, then the first thing to do is verify with your server provider the command line used to start the server in order to make sure it is starting the http service.

ShadowTitan, do you have a proxy?
The tool still does not support connections though proxy, so this may be the problem.

Best Regards,

That′s right. The tool is not supported by Crytek but what they can do is tell you if the data you have is correct and what they can tell you too is if the command line is correct. Means if they have added +http_startserver(right) in their command line or -http_startserver(wrong). I had that problem myself and this is why my tool wasn′t working on my own server.

Try it that way: RCon and HTTP are the ways people can administrate their servers. They should check if their own data is correct and if they can connect to the server themselves. If it works for them then it should work for you as well.

A new version is available. It includes a new tab to manage the reserved slots, error messages and log files.

The changelog and downloadlink are in my first post. You can also use the update button on the splash screen if you have already an older version on your PC.
