Custom Avatars and a Forge mode and reduce the melee speed

Post » Wed Jan 23, 2013 7:16 am

Crytek, it would be nice to have custom looks to our nanosuits including female Avatars, and also have a forge mode like in Halo, just saying, this game has the potential to really be great, don't make it another run and gun shooter.

Reduce the melee speed so people actually have to shoot and utilize the suit modes, improve the Gauss and make the Nanovision a good counter to the cloak, and also a few vehicles wouldn't hurt.

You guys should make your own suggestions and hopefully they get to see it.

It's a "map editor" where you build maps or modify other maps by using objects.

Ehh, I think Far Cry 2's map editor mixed with Forge could be great. Having a map editor wouldn't hurt anyway, if the maps can be played in public matches.

Crytek:" So we thought about putting in a map editor, so that players could create their own maps. That way we could compete more in the FPS market, and stand out of the generic mass."

EA: "Cod doesn't have a map editor, so NO!"

Crytek: "Okay..."(goes back to the corner of the room)

Crysis already has a map editor, the mod sdk. It's just harder to use: I would like to see a casualized version for quick maps/people who don't want to spend too much time. I wouldn't use it, but as soon as the full-fledged editor stays, I wouldn't see a problem.

In short: Yes. Yes to all that the OP says. ALL of it. That is all, have a good day.

Well, the PC could get the CryEngine 3 SDK and be fine with it.

For a console, they would need to provide some kind of simplified console map editor. The SDK is a resource hog on resources the console doesn't have, and the UI isn't friendly for a gamepad. That, or create a system where maps created on the PC can be ported over to Xbox/PS3.
