TES Lore races you wanna see later

Post » Wed Mar 24, 2010 10:14 pm

What Elder scrolls race do you want to see in the next one or read about in a book at least?

Me I wanna see the sload to finally solve that dang book nagasta or w/e it was spelled. Also a couple of the akavari like the demons, monkey's, and snake people.

NOT SUGGESTIONS

I'm don't want to see any in-game, but I'd like to read a bit about them in some books. As to which races, well, I'm quite open for any.

Good idea about the races, it'd be nearly impossible to stuff with them lore wise since they're vaguely described to begin with.

What does "NOT SUGGESTIONS" mean?

It means that this thread is not a suggestion topic for the devs and is purely discussion of the races we don't really get to see that are shown in concept art and books in the games.

The sload actually have some concept art and are very througly described so you are not entirely correct on that.

Sloads and the *golden scaled, vampiric, immortal snake* men of Akavir. That transparent Elves of Pyandonea would be cool too.

They need to stick with what they've got. Adding new races to RPG's is always a cheesy fix, especially if they're something special. It's like a nice old painting that's mostly grey and blue, and you slop some bright neon in the middle. It draws too much attention away from the classic feel of the original cast.

They need to elaborate on the lore of the existing races, especially High Elves and Khajiit (imo), rather than shooting off on some tangent by designing a new species out of nothing.

Just...anything that's not blue. Please, God, no more blue aliens.

Not playable races! This is for NPC races.

The silver guys. I forget their name but they used to reside in Black Marsh. And yes, I know they left the place.

I would want to see a Falmer or a race from Akavir, or at least more information on them.

I'm kinda queasy on including the Tsasci (snakes) since they have VERY high screw up potential.
In the lore they hyped them up as being this golden skinned serpentine race, but in the end they could very well just end up as yellow colored elves with fangs and lissssspy talk.

Na I wasn't talking about adding in new races. I like what we have here in the game. But I wouldn't mind actually seeing some highly detailed ones that the have already mentioned in books and other games. Right?

Dumner
Bosmer
Altmer
Khajiit
Argonian
Nord
Breton
Imperial
Orc

That's about all I want to see. Next race thread?

(I know I've just missed a race there, simply because I tried to be smart :P)

I would like more lore on Maormer, Falmer, Ka Po'Tun, Kamal, and Tsaesci. I don't want to know too much, just more than we know now. I don't really want to see any of these in game, at least not for a while anyway. I wouldn't have too much of a problem if a descendant of the Falmer, or maybe even an actual Maormer were in game. One wouldn't be a big deal, but I'm happy with the races we see as of now.

I'd like to see the Reachmen, or 'The Witchmen of High Rock'.

They practice 'beast magics' learnt from the orcs, and are a breton mongrel breed which resemble elves far more than the regular breton.
They seem to resemble what I've always thought the bretons should've looked like, and the title 'Witchmen', along with this beast magic, makes them sound baddass. B)

It'd be a definite possibility to see some of these guys in the reach (they live in the western reach of High Rock), if the next game is in Skyrim, too, which is pretty cool. :)
They shouldn't be playable though, unless they just add some features as possible addons for the Bretons. I think they should stick to the current playable races myself.
