So I happen to really like the Dark Brotherhood. I've completed the questline a few times with past characters, and I always end up hating it. I'm a hopeless Lucien fangirl and I hate what happens to him in the end, as well as the deaths of my fellow dark brothers and sisters. So this time around... I'm really thinking of not completing it. Already my next quest would begin with Ocheeva sending me to Lucien. I think I may just forever stay at Assassin rank.

Anyone else faced with this dilemma?

Yes I have. And I abandoned the quest line, reasoning that my char clearly wasn't really DB material.... I think she went off the join the thieves guild instead... what's your feeling/reasoning for and against?

I find there is a 'sweet spot' in not only the DB but the MG and FG questlines as well, where, when playing them, I simply stop progression and advance no further. I'd rather be just a working girl in the guilds than the boss anyway. The TG is the only one I like to complete because, after all, it is a love story.
