Thank you Crytek - what a relief it is to have the core game ship with such a healthy variety of maps, and if they are of the quality of the two we've seen already then all the better.

Can't mention all the titles that announce 10, then it drops to 9 inexplicably in interviews, then another becomes a pre-order incentive, then you receive a game with 7 maps because another's been held as DLC. Make no comparison in quality or kinship here, but the new Tomb Raider will have uncharted-esque multiplayer, a big push for them apparently, and it will ship with four maps!

What with DLC purchases being partial and dividing the community, I for one am thrilled at the breadth and beauty of the maps we're getting for the most-polished Cry MP yet..
