Is the bow going to be banned in C3 like FY71 in C2?

I am telling you guys, I am waiting to play with the bow more than any other new weapon in C3, but I am more than sure that it will be banned much like FY71 in C2.

I am sure that there will be servers on which it will be allowed, but the majority of known servers operators will likely ban it, or players will votekick anyone who uses it at the very least.

Of course, banned weapons will not be limited to the bow, but the Alien weapons as well. I can only compare the Mortar launcher with L-Tag which was either banned on every server or users were votekicked.

I have the same concerns. I'm really looking forward to the alien weapons but I fear I will not be permitted to use them on many servers.

Not likely, FY71 was a DLC weapon which is unfair towards people who did not buy it, Bow can be used by any one and yes it's a powerful weapon but not L-tag overpowered.

Heck no, the bow won't get banned. Everybody gets it. It's powerful, sure, but it does require skill to use, and you are vulnerable to certain kinds of attacks. It's got most of the same drawbacks as a sniper, but it takes longer to shoot ('quickscopes' are useless, and long-range fire rate is dismal). Thus, it takes more skill. In the beginning a lot of people are probably going to use it, but other people will figure out how to pick them off and we'll see a more balanced playing field.
